Three years ago Doug Ford announced he was "done with covid". Weeks later he announced the end of mask reqts. That was not based on any data or science and I predicted many additional deaths would occur. Large BA.2 and BA.5 waves erupted. 2022 turned out to deadliest pandemic year in Ontario.
Some say MAGA is anti-science. I can attest that many of Ford's actions dismissed the best scientific advice during the pandemic and since. He ignored warnings that caused chaos in ERs in 2020 and 2021. He disbanded the Science Table, he closed the Science Center, he closed wastewater surveillance.

If you can't bring yourself to admit that covid infections are causing health problems, then I think you may need to explore whether you have health anxiety and it's causing denial issues.
I have yet to meet just one person at Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) who wholeheartedly acknowledges that the primary mode of transmission of Covid is airborne or that universal respirator use in healthcare would significantly reduce Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAIs)

My sister lost her partner of 20 years to Covid two weeks ago. He was in an LTC. He had a hepa for his room & she always 😷 The unmasked LTC workers gave him Covid. The health care workers who are supposed to care for and protect him gave him Covid and killed him! Oh, they also refused to test him
