Threads offers blue checkmarks. It’s so nice to see the return of accountability and verified public interest and oh it’s called Meta Verified and it costs $11.99/month.
i think this is just basically their "verified creators" scam they already had on instagram (i've seen some of them pop up with bands i follow as of late), people would briefly show up as '[name], creator' in your mentions, meta's signature care and thoughtful UI/UX fully on display
