PCBs for this LTO BMS are home and I'm soldering the main (blue on the photo) connector to all 90 pieces.
And how is your Sunday going? 🙂

Exciting news today. The manufacturer is ready to ship 200 LTO cells for my LTO battery back with BMS. 🥳

If all goes well, it will be available for your Meshtastic/MeshCore/Reticulum nodes by the end of this month.

Phone notification from HomeAssistant app saying: "Brother in need! Running out of black toner in your Brother."

Okay, this is so cool. 😎

Two years ago, I set up a Home Assistant alert for low toner in my Brother laser printer. Then I completely forgot about it - until today, when I finally got the notification! 😅😁

Meshtastic Solar Station by Vlastimil | Download free STL model | Printables.com The second version of the solar-powered Meshtastic station for ⌀28 mm, ⌀34 mm or ⌀40 mm antenna brackets. | Download free 3D printable STL models

Thanks 🙏 I published 3D printed files on Printables. Pictures there are older, I have to upgrade them, but files are up to date.

And I offer fully assembled station on my Lectronz store, too.

Just got an email from a customer, and it turns out my Meshtastic Motherboard is more versatile than I thought! It works with Meshtastic, MeshCore, and also Reticulum. 💪

Any other LoRa firmware we can try?

A quick test of the MeshCore firmware on my "Meshtastic motherboard". It works!

Should I call it "Meshtastic/MeshCore motherboard" now? 🤔😁

Looks like an interesting project. ⌛ Can you share more details, please? Why four Pi? Is it .are accurate than PTP?

Multiplayer chess with everyone on the network? ♟️😁

Thank you! I thought it looked like the Mikrotik antenna.
Based on your measurements, it seems it's worth the investment.

You can use emojis, you know that? 😁 No words needed.

Good job with the measurements.

Some of them are clearly not for 868 band. I wouldn't expect most of them behaves this poorly.

May I ask which antenna the second one is? It seems to be the best suited for the 868 MHz band.

Another Meshtastic solar node is finished and ready for duty.

I built the first node of this design over six months ago, and it’s been working flawlessly ever since. Since then, I’ve refined the design, optimized the 3D-printed parts, and improved the electronics.

Still need to 3D print an enclosure for this, but otherwise, it's working perfectly. It’s a simple upgrade anyone can make to those $5 LED chains.

This is exactly the kind of project my USB-C charger was made for. It’s not just a charger - it’s also a USB-UART converter, an UPDI programmer, and a tool for small, versatile mods like this one. I'm so happy with this design.

The best part? I can recharge the battery with any standard USB-C charger. No more fiddling with external AA battery chargers or throwing out alkalines. Just plug and go.

So, I grabbed one of my USB-C battery chargers (a design I made myself in KiCAD) and modded it to output 2.9V instead of its default 3.3V. Now the LED chain runs at constant brightness, powered by a 1000 mAh LiPo. Rechargeable, reusable, hassle-free.

The original chain used 2 AA batteries—no electronics, just direct power to LEDs. It worked, but dimming lights as batteries drained was annoying, and swapping batteries constantly? Not great for convenience or the environment.

Ever had one of those cheap LED light chains that dim as batteries drain? Me too. So, I modded mine into a USB-C rechargeable version with constant brightness. No more dead AA batteries. It's a neat little project, and here's how I did it. 🧵

🌞 Say hello to the solar-powered Meshtastic board with MPPT - now in revision D! 🚀
I made some tweaks to the PCB design based on user feedback. And since I was ordering a larger batch (50 pieces), I prepared it as a PCB panel - my first one ever!

Thanks for your interest. Can you send me a DM, so we can talk about details, please?
I don't know why, but I cannot send you a DM for some reason.

Preparing a 915 MHz version shouldn't be a problem -- it's just a matter of swapping the RAK module. If there's enough interest, I can make a 915 MHz batch. However, I don't have much experience with shipping outside the EU.

Meshtastic is an open-source project that turns small, low-power devices into a long-range, off-grid communication system using LoRa radios. Perfect for hikers, ham radio enthusiasts, or anyone who needs text and location sharing without cell service.

On the other hand, this should be the last hand-soldered batch. The next batch will be fully assembled by a PCBA service. Sooo... maybe no more soldering?
