Minthara is looking up to her left, and her neck is stretched and her head slightly raised. At the edge of the painting, the brush strokes dissolve into nothing, and at certain points the background is visible between strokes, but on the face itself the paint is very thick with juicy and fluid brushwork. Lots of the edges of the face and neck disappear into the background, and certain other edges are denoted purely by a single stroke of highlight.

The idea of this painting has been living in my head for months as I was trying to make it to the end of Baldur's Gate 3 and it was a delight to finally paint in one session of a few hours.
