Ford doesn't want to compete in the EV space and they have made that painfully clear. And honestly, that's fine. They don't have to. But don't limit other people's ability to make decisions for themselves. To be clear, Ford is trying to limit consumer choice in Canada too.

I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.

Terrific to hear you in full flow promoting community energy and renewables and railing against anything that gets in their way. I hope we can find you a good new site near Balcombe for Riding Sunbeams.

Delighted to be down in Balcombe today for Repower Balcombe’s AGM! I helped them to start their solar coop after their brush with fracking over a decade ago, and hoping to work with them again soon to develop a community solar rail scheme down here…

Another conspiracy theorist loon standing for Reform. It's rapidly turning into the political equivalent of the Flat Earth Society.

Almost verbatim 🤔

>Cleaning up electricity generation is pushing up the price of electricity, an issue that has taken on new urgency as oil and gas prices continue to climb, raising fears that high energy costs could persist.

Maybe BBC should interview some people who are not paid to confuse them.

It’s a disaster zone. Copilot is my example and it completely fabricates references: real journal, real authors and plausible but bogus titles. Don’t let AI anywhere near a manuscript you are going to put your name to.

Back in the days of Brexit there was this joke reply to the boast that we held all the cards:

"EU lays down a royal flush. UK looks at own cards: Mr Bun the Baker, Pikachu, a Shadowmage, a fireball spell, and the Fool"

Often (mis)attributed to me, it was by @johnnypixels.bsky.social

Many countries have decoupled economic growth from CO₂ emissions, even if we take offshored production into account It is possible to reduce emissions while growing the economy. But this decoupling needs to happen faster.

I'm calling bullshit on this: no source, no units. World GDP is T$123. Dip in about 2014? Not COVID and not banking crisis of 2008. Energy is not the issue, emissions are: we can grow energy use from wind, solar, geothermal. Much more informative graphs here ourworldindata.org/co2-gdp-deco...

Happy Birthday Good Friday Agreement! 28 today. A truly historic piece of work because of which an entire generation here has known nothing but peace. It hasn’t been perfect but we’re a world away from what went before. Eternally grateful to all concerned #history #NorthernIreland
