I’m happy to report that along with @aurinmpls.bsky.social and @angelaconley.bsky.social, I was part of the unanimous vote of the Planning Commission to remove the name of Cesar Chavez from the Minneapolis street carrying his name today.
sometimes it's hard for me to be patient and do things the slow way, but i'm working on it!
re: the thing this was referring to, i reached out to the people responsible and to people within the state DFL, everyone was understanding and took it seriously, and things got resolved. i'm grateful and i'm hopeful for the future

Today is 222 days since I filed my code of conduct complaint against the Feminist Caucus leadership with the code of conduct committee. It has been 213 days since a complaint was filed against me from the same meeting.
I still have no resolution to either. We are well into convention season.

city convention today was the third DFL convention i've been at in 2026 where cops are called after sd39 and sd63 to deal with two separate men who were known to people at conventions and who were there in bad faith and/or to harass people
i wish we could do more to address these threats

Right now, I'm leaning towards no, but I'm open to changing my mind. My main concern is this: in order to pass a budget back in 2025, Walz and DFL members in the legislature had to allow Republicans to remove the eligibility for undocumented Minnesotans to access MinnesotaCare. Based on Sen. Klobuchar's votes in favor of not one but two NDAA's with transphobic provisions, I'm incredibly concerned about her allowing for backsliding on trans rights and protections in our state in exchange for Republicans passing a budget. If Senator Klobuchar doesn't strongly state her support for the trans community and make it part of her platform before the convention, I can't in good conscience vote for her endorsement. If she does commit wholeheartedly to supporting trans rights, even at the cost of a state government shutdown, then she'll have my support.

A lot of the justification for this comes from how large the Minneapolis central committee is, since members of any larger central committee (SCC, CD5) are automatically on it too. I can definitely understand your rationale for disagreeing though
