This is the kind of progress we’ve been working toward. Through our Screen at 45 campaign, Colorectal Cancer Canada has long called for earlier screening. And today, we’re seeing that advocacy turn into action.

“Too many families have felt the impact of cancer, and we know the difference early detection can make,” said PEI Premier Rob Lantz. “By acting now, Prince Edward Island is leading the country and giving Islanders a better chance—not just at treatment, but at survival.”

Prince Edward Island is officially the first province to lower the screening age from 50 to 45—setting a new standard for earlier detection and saving lives.
