...Die niederländische Polizei nutzt seit Jahren intensiv historische locatiegegevens (Standortdaten) von Telecom-Anbietern – teilweise ohne jede richterliche Genehmigung für ältere Daten.
Es gab immer wieder Debatten und Gerichtsurteile, ob das mit der ECHR (Art. 8) und EU-Recht vereinbar ist.
Die Daten stammen meist aus Apps (Werbe-Tracking), genau wie bei Webloc in den USA.
→ Europäische Behörden (und potenziell auch Geheimdienste) können diese Daten kaufen – oft ohne dass ein Richter involviert ist, solange es sich um „öffentlich zugängliche“ kommerzielle Daten handelt.
-Handy-Standortdaten von Millionen Europäern (inkl. hochrangiger EU-Beamter in Brüssel) werden frei über Data-Broker verkauft.
-Mit kostenlosen Samples konnte man Bewegungsprofile von EU-Kommissions-Mitarbeitern, Parlamentariern und sogar NATO-Basen rekonstruieren.
