A cross stitch of a bunch of different quilt squares, each one denoting a book I read this year.

What my cross stitch quilt would've looked like if I hadn't used the colors from the book covers.

This took FOREVERRRRRR. Or y'know, something like 150 hours to stitch. I started back in Feb and have been working it in the background while stitching all the other designs I've released this year. 😅

Something I've been wanting to do for a whiiile. It's a book tracker! But with quilt squares!

This book was my baby for over half my life, and it broke my heart when it went out of print.

I'm elated it's getting a new lease on life. @stagah-artworks.bsky.social has done amazing with the art, and I love the layout by @toddkeisling.com, even fitting the nine-pointed star on the spine 🔪🌊

I still don't feel like blogging a lot but I can't let June end before I share some of my #pride recommendations. I say some because I'm sure I will forget absolutely amazing books, but I hope you'll forgive me.

A liminal space is more than just a generic spooky place:

A "limen" is a threshold.

Therefore, "liminal" is an adjective describing that which pertains to thresholds or contains the essence of a threshold.

Like a hallway, the astral plane, or hypnagogia!

JamReads - Making your TBR closer to infinite In JamReads you will find content about books, and why you should read them more. This content may include reviews, interviews and occasionally, some news of the literary world

The Devils, by @joeabercrombie.com (pub by @gollancz.bsky.social) has been an absolute ride; a dark fantasy inspired by Dark Age Europe that gives you a group of ragtags that you end loving. I can't stress enough how much I loved this novel.

A ★★★★★ review of Sinners (2025) I dunno what I can say about this. I dunno I need to say anything about this. Sinners is simply a 10/10 movie. Only thing I'd have liked is perhaps a little more about the main vampire... who he was, ...

Sinners is great. And it's on streaming today! (for rent, no I'm not sponsored, sadly xD I just liked the movie)

HORRORx52: 2025 Alright, I got in the mood to make a challenge list and decided I'd do a Scavenger Hunt as they're a month long so I could ride the movie wave through June and see how I go but once I started that one...

Oh hey! I er... got a wild hair and joined a couple movie watching challenges on Letterboxd because I'm *sings* gaaar-baaage. 😂

HORRORx52 for my 3rd year running: letterboxd.com/jaedia/list/...

And June's Scavenger Hunt, because I only meant to do this one woops: letterboxd.com/jaedia/list/...

Somehow we're about to hit Pride month! 🌈

Which unfortunately means Off Limits Press is about to close down. May 31st is your last chance to get my cosmic horror WORM trilogy or my space horror standalone in print or ebook.

After that, they'll only be available in audio until they find new pubs.

I'm currently reading The Devils by @joeabercrombie.com and it has me in a chokehold somewhat. 😂 I will *definitely* be getting to First Law (finally) soonish, after this! #booksky #books #reading

Yeeah... occasionally I find it nice if I'm not feeling well and need to brain off but, it's already on TikTok/Instagram/Youtube, I don't want it invading here as well. For some things it's good. For most things it's a plague...

And well deserved, I was looking for WWI horror earlier this year and then... 👀

Frieren is just a great series, anime or no! You might also really dig Spy X Family, it's cute and fun. :D

Ha! My logic is that they hear you're not a doddery old lady they can take advantage of so they realise you're not a good mark. I can't remember if I heard it somewhere or just tried it though. xD

I sometimes just say very firmly "please take my number off this list." And hang up, and I'm not sure if it works but I don't *get* so many calls after I do that.

Alrighty, as we're in week 2 of beautiful weather (In Pembrokeshire? The fuck is happening?!) and I'm feeling the summery vibes, that means mood has officially switched to summer reading: yeah it's horror, the mood is horror. I'm that weirdo. So I started @chuckwendig.bsky.social's new book!
