It's a win for everyone — Maria gets 'royalties', Raythean and Rhodes Island renews their partnership and the Cautus' in Rim Biliton and all over Terra gets proper protection for their work hazards.

And, of course, Hopper gets some new armor for his operations.

Soon, Maria and her team came to a decisive conclusion and drew up the blueprints.

Meanwhile, I worked my way to some ears at Raythean who might be interested in the design and became the bridge between the two parties.

We've faced many issues in the design, particularly, the helmet.

We had to find the fine line between practicality and comfort; especially for a Cautus' ears.

Many inspirations were took from multiple sources — Rim Biliton's equipment, current operator's preferences...

I've attached a sketch that Maria had drawn up, a loose blueprint but something of a passion project she has been working on.

She thought she could charm her way into making me devote resources into this project of hers and fortunately for her — Zofia was wholly onboard.

Regardless, due to his close proximity to Lucyna, Maria had taken an interest to him. Particularly his physique.

Now, plenty of people at Rhodes Island could match or even surpass his mass and strength but not many would care to be a test-bed or an experiment to Maria's projects.

One being armor-

During his first months in Rhodes Island, he gelled well with the staff onboard; truly showing that he was cut from the same cloth of Charlotte.

He often volunteered for medical duties but... I've seen him sticking to little Lucyna more than the other medical personnel. (I'll keep that in mind.)

[Log entry: 014] "Hopper"

One of the recent applicants we picked up during our run in Rim Biliton was surprisingly Charlotte's young distant nephew, all grown up and eager to sign up.

He is a tall man, towering over even Nearl but had the gentlest smile and introduced himself as 'Hopper'.

Hopefully I'm just being paranoid and there is no reason to sully what is supposed to be a grand day for both of them.

Attaching the graduation picture Amiya helped took for us — Zofia had it printed and framed by the bedside too. May they be the brightest lights Terra will ever witness.

As their father, I'm feeling a mixture of both anxiety and pride. Zofia herself hadn't stopped crying since their graduation and just like the loving mother she is, couldn't help herself from being all over them.

Both of them worked hard to be where they are and I couldn't be prouder.

But still...

The girls had just passed their Operator Evaluations yesterday — with flying colours too. Now they're excited about their first operation.
