“I am nearly 96 years old, and for the last 60 years have kept a secret because I believed that exposing the truth would hurt the farmworker movement I have spent my entire life fighting for. [...] My silence ends here.” (Dolores Huerta, 3/18/26)

This is unacceptable. Survivors deserve respect and care from the people they turn to for help.

CCASA continues to push for improving the system response to survivors through our trainings, advocacy, and policy work. But law enforcement and prosecutors must do better for survivors & public safety.

CCASA is proud to champion this essential bill, which was informed by survivors’ experiences, feedback, and advocacy. Stay tuned for the outcome of SB26-095's Senate Judiciary hearing on Monday, March 2!

🚓 Choosing to report is already difficult enough for survivors. SB095 requires law enforcement to take additional training to enhance their understanding of the impact of trauma to improve response and investigations.

⚖️ Survivors deserve to choose how they engage in their court case. SB095 extends the option for remote testimony to all survivors (currently allowed only for child sexual assault cases).

SB095 supports survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, stalking, & human trafficking:

⚕️Survivors shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get info about their assault. SB095 requires health professionals who conduct medical forensic exams to tell survivors when/how to get results & records.

Whether you choose to speak out or heal in private, you don’t owe anyone your story. Just being here is enough.

But speaking out is what survivors of Jeffrey Epstein are doing right now to make sure that all our communities are safer in the future.
