I guess it just goes to show that the best part about getting critiques is that you don't have to listen to them completely, you just use them as guidance to help complete your vision. Now I've at least gotten this piece to a point where it's tolerable to look at, lmao

So I ended up going back to the way I originally foreshortened the arm, just... better now I think. Again, Jazza gave an amazing critique that explained foreshortening really well, and it did help me rethink things when going back to this piece, but I needed to trust my own vision with what I wanted

I really wanted to get the pose Jazza sketched to work, but it just...wasn't unfortunately. It was a mix of my lack of practice and also the arm not following the pose I was aiming for. I didn't want the arm to actually be that far reaching out, both of the arms were more meant to be at the sides

So, I got a great critique from @jazzastudios.com on his YouTube channel about fixing this dog fellas arm, and I was committed today to follow through and apply it to the drawing: spoiler, it did not go as expected 😅

Yeah, I really hate going to crowded theaters in general, I basically never see a movie opening weekend. I think it's also gotten worse since COVID too. I don't wanna be the gumpy old person that goes, "Grrr, damn kids" but I think there should be more conversations about theater etiquette again

but I've been burnt before trying to watch a movie with younger audiences around, and they just talk over it the whole time, or try to be funny and shout random stuff at the screen, or god forbid, take their phones out. Just remember, people are there to watch the movie, be mindful

I love cheering and gasping along with the audience, but I'm really scared this has the potential to be a Minecraft "CHICKEN JOCKEY" thing. I hope not since this is something people don't wanna just watch ironically,

With the reveal that the Digital Circus finale WILL premiere in theaters, in addition to telling people to not spoil it before it's released on YouTube, I'd also like to remind people to please be respectful in the theater.

On a side note, making art while not hating yourself is really underrated tbh. It's like, I'll make a piece and I end up really liking it, and that like *motivates* me to make more? And then a year later, I'll make a new piece that's *somehow even better?!?!*

Got this dog fella from 2024, I love everything about this besides his left arm. I definitely put the shoulder too far out, and I could never figure out how to get the foreshortening on that hand quite right
