I agree with you, I mentioned this because many people end up "addicting" to just use this type of foundation for their drawings.
Pinterest is full of pose refs like this, already drawn over.
Maybe unpopular opinion, but this can create a false sense of improvement.
If the construction is already solved for you, you're not training observation the same way.
Studying the pose by eye teaches much more.
