In trying to research Star Wars EU history, I'm finding a wall in regards to S-Canon. From what I gathered, the pre-1991 comics and novels were ignored and treated as non-canon.
Eventually, however, they were folded into continuity as S-Canon.
Which timeline are you referring to?

Does that hold true for canon?

They did make that. Multiple times, in fact.
Infinities: The Empire Strikes Back was a "what if?" comic series where Luke dies of hypothermia after escaping from the Wampa Cave.
There's also the Battle of Endor DLC of The Force Unleashed II where Leia is the Jedi after Luke fell on Hoth.
Is it like BBY/ABY where it starts exactly X years before/after?
Ex. 22 BBY begins exactly 22.0 years before Yavin and ends 21.01 years before, etc.
So 37 BSI begins exactly 37.0 years before the Hosnian destruction and ends right before 36.0 years.
For another question, Leia's page mentions her Rite of passage being 37 BSI and the mission to Lothal being 36 BSI. I assume that the Rite of Passage is in Leia, PoA, but I could be wrong.
If I'm right though, how exactly are the BSI years separated?
So the .5 might be more of a rounding than actually an exact half a year?
I ask because Legends actually had something similar with the Rogue Squadron novel being 6.5 ABY which allowed Nathan Butler to set a date in the Essential Atlas for the novel exactly 6.5 years after Ep4.

Both events are set, per Timelines, in 34 ABY. Would this then mean that TFA is technically 34.5 ABY?

In addition, why was his age changed from 20 to 19 in Canon? Small change, but just something I'm curious about. Especially since the Absolutely Everything You Need to Know book (both 2015 and 2017 versions) place Anakin's age at 20 during the film.

Where did Anakin being 20 during AOTC come from? It was in the novelization but was that a Lucas thing (like Darth Bane in the TPM novelization) or something else?
I believe the story is that that line was added to the crawl without Story Group knowledge. I think I remember reading that somewhere.

Your dates and Nathan Butler's dates for the Atlas kinda cemented that 0 BBY didn't work.
The construction wasn't the hard part. It was the functionality of the super laser that took the longest amount of time. By the end of ROTS, the frame of the Death Star was complete.

1. Bail Organa adopted Leia during Episode III. That was 19 BBY (19 years before A New Hope). Andor S2 is long after that.
2. Luke hasn't even met Han or Leia. How could he be training with Yoda right now? The Death Star would already be destroyed. He doesn't meet Yoda until 3 ABY.
That sounds plausible. I'll need to read that material when crafting a timeline. It just seems like too large a gap.
I think Season 2 might be worse, though, with Leia's involvement in Rebels coming after she turns 16 and then the rest of that season.

YES! This right here! It's my biggest issue with the canon timeline. 19 BBY is so full before ROTS happens. It makes no sense how you go from "Out of Darkness" to "Empire Day". That'd be several months in-universe. Not to mention Leia's involvement in S3.
I always though that Yavin happened on May 25, which would be 7977.145, but maybe this isn't the case anymore.
I love seeing @infinata.bsky.social's influence on Star Wars dates. He started with GrS Palpatine b-day being Ian McDiarmid's up to now Mace Windu being Sam Jackson's in CRC.
Though, with this, you have Mace born on 7905.355 and Clem Andor dying on 7959.318. That sets Yavin to between 318 and 355.
They did. The Siege of Mandalore includes dialogue from Windu directly from Episode 3 that Carson re-did. You might have been watching a poorly-cut-together copy.
The only part that is only in ROTS is Windu talking to Anakin.

Actually, it's not during that episode but rather between 142 and 143. 142 shows them heading out in teams.
Then there are the two prequel manga chapters, showing the lead-up to the movie followed by the movie itself. The movie ends in the morning. Then 143 begins later that night.
A lot of people make this mistake, but the movie actually takes place between Seasons 5 and 6 in that gap between the Kurogiri reveal and the War.
The prequel episode occurs during the Endeavor Agency arc, but the movie itself happens after the arc.
