Food co-ops may start without an actual location. People get together and order food in bulk.

Eventually, maybe they get a truck & maybe employees to pick up and distribute food orders.

It's something people can do for themselves. It can even become a physical store, but it doesn't have to be.

Indeed, co-ops are great! I've been a member of a bunch over the years. In BC, we have co-op gas stations, housing co-ops, and once upon a time we had a mountain equipment co-op.

Co-ops aren't non-profits. They benefit their members, including with profits.

I don't know who needs to hear this...

You also need to clean the things you use to clean other things.

I said it before and I'll say it again:

Giving a pack of Epstein associates a comprehensive list of all children in the country with home address and school listed, sortable by various traits that indicate vulnerability to exploitation, is the literal diametric opposite of keeping kids safe.

Thank you! Canada needs access to primary source material and to preserve our many histories, so we can learn from what has happened in the past and is happening now.

Everything is not okay, in spite of what "Big Daddy" Carney says and many people think.

We need to be able to find our way again.

Beautiful artwork! It makes a strong statement about the importance of clean energy for people and the planet.

The run in the woods is exactly where we need our priorities to be!

OMG, that guy. Is he actually capable of loving the cat? Cats are also "complicated" if that's how your mind works.

If he wants a second date he needs a cat AND a year of therapy.

All communities, in order to function, need to be based on reciprocity and on care. A political leader should be working for the people, not the economy.

Of course, the economy is part of it. But so much is getting lost in Canada right now.

Thank you.

Like dude, tone it down, you're giving Maga energy. But no, it's the name of a company. Doing business in Alberta.

OMG, when I first read this I thought "Maga energy" was some kind of vibe, not an actual name of something, lol

Today at Shoppers Drug Mart, when the self-checkout beside me played, "tell us how we did today" the little 6 year old kid who was there with her grown-up said, "good, you did good".

So, now I'm always going to say this.

But honestly, why would I log in to give feedback if nothing was wrong?

Remember what matters. Our lives are short, but the future stretches out forever.
Everyone says "take care of yourself" but in my view, frankly, that is a juvenile approach to life. Take care of your children, of all children, of the future. Deprioritise your "self."
Their future is in our hands.

You and your daughter are awesome, creative geniuses, and you are a wonderful mom. Well done. (Context, I'm a preschool teacher. I also don't really like zombies, but that doesn't actually matter.)

Words words words that sound like words words words.

Hockey slogan! Me with my cat! Me playing hockey!

Let's rewrite some history. Ignore what actually happened.

Laughs at a sick indigenous woman.

AI for everyone even children. Consequences? Who cares!

Oil and gas!

As if we honour treaties, respect the land and its first inhabitants, clean up our messes. We don't. We pollute the water with deadly toxins, then Carney makes a joke of a woman who is sick as a result. Partnership? Unity? Neither - just deceitful speech, disrespect and mean spiritedness.

This is how it starts, how we become a fascist society, in a rewriting of history that casts the supremacists as the good guys.

1. Denies the experience of residential school survivors and their families.
2. Denies the existence and nature of colonialism.
3. Denies the actual history of Canada.

Without the truth, there can be no reconciliation.

This is residential school denialism, and it's frankly disgusting.

Yeah, I’d like to see reporters ask why kids weren’t ever banned from watching TV instead of regulating broadcasters, and then follow up by asking why they think kids can’t get around a social media ban almost as easily as they could’ve gotten around a TV ban.

So far this government has:

- removed EV mandates (and moreover paused rebates to stall the market)
- removed carbon tax
- removed low carbon electricity policy
- removed gasoline tax
- removed oil and gas cap

when does the Canadian Federal government do climate policy?

Carney has announced he’s temporarily dropping the relatively small gas tax. He didn’t need to do that, with Poilievre in a free fall. And all it does is fuel the idea that gas taxes drive gas prices, which they obviously don’t. This was a mistake, similar to letting the carbon tax be reframed.

She didn't say that. Like, at all.
