Been a busy couple weeks but the new Hellripper rips. Current music room setup.

I like it. It’s not perfect but there’s some good jams and some sick riffs. They tried some different things and it doesn’t always land. Some parts just end when they feel like they’re building to something. Overall though I find it enjoyable and far from their worst.
I want that hat…
I just watched 2 more episodes last night!
AC/DC is good start
Sabbath
AiC or Nirvana
Some Stones songs
Believe it or not some GnR solos aren’t that hard, just bendy.
Hetfield solos like his Master of Puppets solo Thorn Within, or Carpe Diem Baby
My opinion on that Cradle situation would definitely get me some flack on here then. Still don’t understand how you put the work in they did and then be like “we never got payed well”
Honestly, ESP should just make a licensing deal with Gibson for the Explorer body shape then fucking destroy them by having a guitar that dominates the Gibson in every conceivable way.
I’m reminded you can have friendly banter over here.
On X if you declare your love of a Rueben somebody would be like “so you hate blt sandwiches you fucking bastard?!”
Oh wait. This isn’t X.
It’s 2026, somebody somewhere thinks they’re a sandwich.
Woah woah it’s 2026 you can’t use supremacy
I had a Reuben from this place down the road from where I work. Fucking. Amazing.
Some spins last night to unwind. Looking forward to a new Powertrip record with Seth on the mic. The John Carpenter anthology is super cool if you’re into his scores. Him, his son, and godson do majority of the instrumentation and I attached the tracklist for those curious.
Filling in some gaps in my collection
I miss him, didn’t see him around much last summer.
Getting some texts about the Metallica Sphere news and I’m so uninterested in it. 72 Seasons was meh, this no repeat weekend shit is pretty predictable, and it’s going to be expensive. I’m content with seeing bands I like in theaters and clubs these days. I’m over seeing Metallica.
It was hard to cut some of those songs. Could do like a Beyond Magnetic EP type thing. Hardwired, Shadows Follow, Screaming Suicide, and a couple others were hard to drop.
Open with a thrasher
Second track is the long epic track
Then you got the heavy plodder
Ballad
Thrasher to pick things back up
Another heavy but slightly weird song
Epic long song
Thrasher to close it all out
People talk about Load and Reload would be a banger if you took the best from both and made one album. I saw a poll for Hardwired and 72 Seasons and thought you could apply the same logic. This would be a banger of an album and follows that 80s flow.
Hit a wall where I’m just sorting normal shit but for the 0 people that are curious
Most valuable card so far: Yawgmoth’s Will and I have 2
Least valuable card so far: some promo Foe-Razer Regent worth nothing.
Been playing The Outdoor Boys videos while sorting my Magic The Gathering cards and part of me wants to do extreme winter camping and part of me realizes I’d probably die.
As I was asking myself why it looked like it had a Kahler but had a hole through the whole guitar body I swooped and saw the alien head lol
I’m looking to sell my Magic The Gatherinf collection and so far I’ve sorted almost 5000 cards.
I’m maybe a quarter of the way through what I have….
Some new acquisitions and an accidental beaver shot.
When I saw them I asked about a new record and they said they’re aiming for 2026. I really hope it happens because a new record from Casket Robbery is on my shortlist of highly anticipated releases.

That’s the best Arch Enemy song I’ve heard in years. I like Lauren Hart but she was definitely a safe choice by the band. Curious what the album will be like because the band has been pretty boring for a few albums now. Hopefully Lauren gave them a shot in the arm.
Usually I’ll buy vinyl, I’ll buy CDs if vinyl is cost prohibitive but every once in awhile I will buy the vinyl release because the cover is just too fucking good for that tiny ass cd insert.
Phantom Slaughter was listening to a lot of Michiru Yamane compositions when Necropalace was written, you can’t convince me otherwise. Especially with some of those string parts. The first part of that intro piece is straight up Bear McCreary’s Walking Dead theme though.
I don’t need fancy vinyl, I’m usually just happy enough getting a physical copy of an album. That being said I do like some splatters and swirls from time to time and these Deicide pressings look killer.
No I’m definitely trying to escape
