I’m hoping the FTC was heavily edited and that Kyle dominated more than the episode showed. I wanted him to have way more slam dunk moments than he did

Totally agree. I expected David and Shauhin to rip into Joe for breaking his word and turning on them. And that Joe/eva would be eviscerated for falling for the lie about Shauhin. But it appears that even FTC got a very pro Joe/Eva edit.
Wonderful news!
The University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty senate voted this week in support of joining the Big 10 Mutual Defense Compact.

It makes absolutely no sense. Nobody in their right mind should want to sit with Eva or Joe at the final 3. What on earth are the rest of them waiting for?
Beating Strom Thurmond is always a worthy undertaking. #keepgoing @booker.senate.gov
House Rs just passed the budget resolution, the first step in their process to enact a bill that'd kick millions off Medicaid & cut SNAP down to just $1.60 per person per meal on avg while cutting taxes for the top 0.1% by $278k - all while increasing the debt
🧵on what's to come and WHERE TO FIGHT
It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.
Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.
Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.
What a lovely tradition! I am soooo jealous you saw it in-person. I would have been crying too!
He could’ve sung literally *anything* of theirs/his, but we got to see him do the back end of Abbey Road in 2025 😭
Truly can’t believe I just got to watch Paul McCartney sing Golden Slumbers/Carry that Weight/The End on #snl50

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.
Opportunities are everywhere.
Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉
So, one of the zombies was way, way worse?
It is simply not enough for universities to say, “Our grants & research offices are looking into how research will be affected by the latest directive.”
University leaders must actively and very publicly make the case for the kind of work many of us do. The silence on this front is deafening.
Yes! I’m currently undergoing post mastectomy reconstruction, and really the only goal is gender affirmation
(sorry you had to go through this hell too)
Here's how to contact your senators and reps. I promise, it's quick and easy www.usa.gov/elected-offi...
I woke up this morning and he's showing up in my IG story feed! So I go to verify that no, I do not follow POTUS. But I had my friend check, and she says I *do* show up as a POTUS follower! Such bs.
After the shooting, someone said a lot of the CEO’s are afraid to return to work.
Read that and now think about how our school-aged kids feel!
I also can't get over the conservative justices favorably citing European laws about transgender health care when they vociferously refuse to consider other nation's laws and traditions when dealing with issues on which the U.S. is an outlier, like gun violence and the death penalty.
“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.
They run them bc people react to them the most.
If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.
It’s not easy and takes constant practice!
Huge news for Wisconsin!
To be fair she does look like a chicken.
Feeling ignored is truly one of the worst feelings. Please be sure to take just a few seconds to stay in touch and acknowledge those who take the time to do the same for you.
The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Hey everybody! With NCA 2024 coming up this week, we thought that we would do a trial run using BlueSky to connect with folks this year. We'll also be using this page to share info about our panels and business meetings, and to signal boost announcements and other posts from around NCA!
