Not only am I having trouble with sound on Linux, it’s with Pipewire! The one that’s not supposed to have problems!

(To be fair, it’s an issue with AirPods over Bluetooth, so not exactly normal use)

Fedi, mobilize! :P

We've reached a point where I'm not sure who's worse about shoving AI in my face all the time: the companies and proponents, or the opponents.

@dgriffinjones Like how for the M1 the performance cores are Firestorm and the efficiency cores are Icestorm, for the M5 they presumably have 3 core designs instead of 2. I’m glad they’re using separate names for them instead of having shitty performance cores vs good performance cores or […]

@dgriffinjones Presumably, “super”, “performance”, and “efficiency” refer to 3 different core designs within a generation

@fluffy Make sure you do the dance quickly, before Cloudflare realizes the nameservers are different. If you change nameservers, your zone will deactivate after a certain amount of time. (unfortunately I don’t know exactly how long)

It might be easier to get a cert by using the DNS challenge […]

No woman in a burqa (or a hijab or a burkini) has ever done me any harm. But I was sacked (without explanation) by a man in a suit. Men in suits missold me pensions and endowments, costing me thousands of pounds. A man in a suit led us on a disastrous and illegal war. Men in suits led the banks and crashed the world economy. Other men in suits then increased the misery to millions through austerity. If we are to start telling people what to wear, maybe we should ban suits.

Henry Steward,
London.

Watch out for men in suits. They are the worst kind!

One of the shops I wandered into is an Oaxacan goods shop and they had a whole section of dubious herbal remedies. One of them seems to have been packaged by someone who also thinks it’s dubious.

@cadey the downside of the dumb protocol is that you need to regenerate an index on any changes, but a post-receive hook should be able to do that just fine

3 months ago 0 0 0 0

@cadey with the smart protocol yes, but maybe there’s some way to configure using the dumb protocol for pulls but the smart protocol for pushes

3 months ago 0 0 1 0

@cadey ah, but pushes don’t work. Perhaps some clever nginx config could detect pushes and only call CGI on authenticated pushes?

3 months ago 0 0 1 0

@cadey git also supports a “dumb” protocol that AFAIK doesn’t require a special server
