"It’s nice to be able to put yourself in an environment where you can completely accept all the unconscious stuff that comes to you from the inner workings of your mind. And block yourself off to where you can control it all, take it down..." – Bob Dylan, 1991 interview with Paul Zollo for SongTalk.

“Hey, Woody Guthrie, but I know that you know
All the things that I’m a-sayin’ an’ a-many times more
I’m a-singin’ you the song, but I can’t sing enough
’Cause there’s not many men that done the things that you’ve done”
– Bob Dylan, "Song to Woody," 1962

I made my first trip to the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa today. It was magic. I cried. Many highlights: Bob’s tiny cursive, the Blood on the Tracks notebooks, stunning archive footage, the abundant notes made on hotel stationery. I loved it and am looking forward to going back!
