Email from Epstein to Goertzel: "free and home"

Goertzel replies: ";-))) Congratulations!!!! Actually, I was just about to send you an email summarizing my recent progress, current situation, and future hypothetical plans...I'll probably do so tomorrow. I'm sure you're super-swamped, but it would be great to get together when you have the chance... ben"

Goertzel continues: "p.s. Also, the Singularity Summit (futurist conference, but with some good scientific speakers this year) will be in NY this year, Oct 3-4...and Oct 5-6, afterwards, there will be a brainstorming workshop I think you might enjoy (where, basically, the ~20 speakers from the Summit will get together and try to make conceptual progress on various future-science issues). I'll remind you again when the date gets closer!"

Goertzel is mentioned in the files nearly 800 times, including well after the Miami Herald investigation in 2018.

I think people underestimate how much of this is intentional. We see the internal docs leaked constantly showing the legal team will review something absolutely heinous and just go "ok ship it." Like internally these companies are aware of the massive risk, and just don't care.

Again: the Purpose of LLM- type "AI" bullshit engines is not to tell you the truth or to lie to you, but to tell you something you are statistically determined to be more likely to accept, irrespective of facts— which makes them perfect for accelerating dis- & misinformation & persuasive propaganda…

Largest study of its kind shows AI assistants misrepresent news content 45% of the time – regardless of language or territory An intensive international study was coordinated by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and led by the BBC

built on theft and at massive environmental cost and most importantly, numerous studies keep demonstrating that genAI tools often work a little better than by chance. how is it that we can’t expunge these slop machines out of our institutions and communities

The bottom line, says @willie-agnew.bsky.social, a postdoctoral fellow in AI ethics at Carnegie Mellon University and one of the coauthors, is that “anything you put online can [be] and probably has been scraped.”

Study looking at AI chatbots in 7,000 workplaces finds 'no significant impact on earnings or recorded hours in any occupation' Despite AI’s promise to revolutionize white-collar work, most workers are using it sparingly—or hiding it from their boss.

AI chatbots have been rolled out across 100s of white-collar workplaces but their effect on hours & pay has been negligible accrdg NBER. On average, employees saved 3% of their time, while just 3%-7% of their productivity gains came back to them in the form of higher pay fortune.com/2025/05/18/a...

🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read.

He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords

Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:
