Did you know the images had been marked as adult content by the Bluesky Moderation Service? Not sure what that means exactly for exposure but maybe it means you get hidden from certain timelines. Maybe reword and try again? Or can you appeal? I can’t see a way to correct the system on my side.

We wouldn’t agree on very much but I do think his opinions (however disagreeable) are sincerely held. Admittedly, there’s only so much time I want to spend on examining his intentions so, as a default, I tend to assume goodwill. This might be naive of me.

Agreed, although some of the same debates happen in Europe on those topics. Over here in Ireland, American anti-abortion groups tried to influence the Irish abortion referendum in 2018 so their talking points arose in public discourse.

I almost can’t believe what I’ve just read. This is the sort of civility you just don’t get on the social network that shall not be named. Over there this would have escalated to an international incident.

I wouldn’t say so, but heaven knows there’s plenty debate on this side of the pond regarding American policies that are of no relevance to our lives. Gun control, for example.

That seems a little harsh? His approach is unduly confrontational (to the detriment of his case) but, unless I’ve missed something, he’s just robustly arguing on policy. “Bad actor” would imply a nefarious purpose, which I don’t think is present. Is this where we draw the line on civil discussion?

Just my 2 cents. But my goal is to ignore the trolls. Give them zero attention. Block them if they annoy me.

I think the worst thing we can do on this site is re-create the ad hominem/ personal attacks that occur across comments on Twitter/insta/tiktok/ etc
