On arriving back at the Banshee I met up with Tom Juniper offered me another gig at Screech. which I accepted. My poem of choice was Staple Diet which was written on Tabloid transphobia and the sensationalist drivel that passes for negative news stories on it was enjoyed by the audience #PBHFringe25

After Atila's show I chatted to a Dortmund fan and we talked about the bond between Celtic and his club and we wished each other success for the coming season. Moving on, I talked comedy with a couple of girls before going to Piemaker for a bite to eat and heading back to the Banshee. #PBHFringe25

Yesterday It was back to Edinburgh for day three of my fringe on a peaceful easy Sunday. I started at Bannermans where I went to see Atila The Stockbroker. Well, he's a football loving leftie poet so he's one of the good guys. I enjoyed the show and I bought his book of football poems. #PBHFringe25

Still on the events of yesterday let's get to the middle bit. As I started queuing for Screech Night which is run by Tom Juniper
he asked if I l'd like to perform as an open mic act. Naturally I said yes and my poem Written In Lipstick was very well received by all in attendance #PBHFringe25

Yesterday was day two of my fringe and I had a ball . First up was a bit of Spoken word with Dean Tsang in Our Anxious Measurements 3. I finished the day at the Hive with a bit of comedy from John Pelham. As for the bit in the middle , well that's a very different message #PBHFringe25

Had a brilliant first day at the fringe yesterday. My first day saw me at three shows. First up was Markus Birdman for some cracking comedy. Next was Beth MacDonald with her fruit themed show Succulent. I ended the day with The Lock In Slam and a fantastic hour of spoken word poetry. #PBHFringe25

It is my opinion that Keir Starmer is nothing more than Nigel Farage's poodle. Nothing more Nothing less.

So The Assisted Dying Bill (Scotland) passed its first reading in the Scottish Parliament last night. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Whilst I support people's right to die with dignity, I can't help but feel this bill, if passed, will be used by money grabbing relatives to cull disabled people

Congratulations to Pope Leo XIV on becoming the leader of Roman Catholic Church. Hes the First American to get the job and as thought to be a Liberal reformer . I think we could be going on an interesting journey. One thing I do know is that this will send the KKK into complete and total meltdown.

Delighted to be part of the football poets who performed at Tynecastle last night to promote A Most Unsuitable Game. This groundbreaking anthology was published in 2024 to celebrate 50 years since Scotland lifted the ban on the women's game. Thanks to all at Hearts for a truly brilliant night.

During my time as a political activist in the SNP, I've been lucky enough to know some great local candidates in both my own and opposition parties. I have also known some absolute wallopers from all sides of the political sceptrum.

Happy Birthday to Robert Burns. Scotland's National Bard. Tonight, we celebrate your poems, songs, and humanity as your legacy to our country and the world. As a spoken word poet I am part of that legacy as our generation of poets do as you did and craft our poems in our words for our times.
