We thank the pro-Israel Senators and Representatives for their bipartisan support of the alliance between the two nations, and we urge them to work together to replenish Israel’s capabilities.

For decades, Democrats and Republicans in Congress have helped ensure Israel has the resources it needs to take action against our common enemies and to protect its families from Iran and its proxies.

President Trump’s bold and principled attack on three nuclear sites in Iran helped protect America’s security and expedite the end of this war.

We thank President Trump for closely coordinating with our ally Israel throughout these 12 days to dismantle the key elements of Iran’s nuclear and missile programs which were threats to America, Israel, and the world.

This war was only necessary because of Iran’s illegal pursuit of a nuclear weapon and its rejection of repeated diplomatic overtures by President Trump.

Today’s ceasefire announcement is a remarkable achievement that must be coupled with steps that will permanently and verifiably dismantle Iran’s nuclear program, ensure the regime has no ability to enrich uranium, and destroy Iran’s ballistic missile program.

America must now work with our allies to protect our troops and regional interests against Iranian attacks. We urge bipartisan support for this action by American troops and continued support for our Israeli ally.

We express our deep appreciation to the scores of Senators and Representatives who worked across the aisle to provide Israel with critical security assistance and to impose strong economic and diplomatic pressure on the regime.

We commend our heroic American troops who carried out this operation.

This justified action was taken as Iran was on the verge of acquiring a nuclear weapon and after the Iranian regime rejected President Trump’s repeated diplomatic efforts to peacefully resolve this crisis. The IAEA recently determined Iran was materially violating its nonproliferation obligations.

President Trump has taken historic and decisive action against the Iranian nuclear program, which has been a longtime threat to the security of the United States and the peace of the world.

America must stand with our ally at this critical moment as it takes action to protect its families and the world from a nuclear-capable Iran. The Administration and Congress should ensure that Israel has the resources and support needed to defend itself from any Iranian response.
