The very best of feelings!
Drawing of a woman throwing a pot at a silhouetted man. Text reads “tonight in pottery class, I threw a pot.” The joke relies on the knowledge that ‘to throw a pot’ means to use the potters wheel to shape the clay on a spinning disc/turn table, rather than to throw something like a ball.
Pottery club update
This scene shows a drawing of three kids & partner hugging their very ill mother, while the text reads “it won’t be forever ~ I’ll take what I can get” and “track and trace can fuck off.”
The drawing features a thought bubble depicting a laptop on a hospital bed trolley with a jug of water & some medicine, another thought bubble depicting a hand pressing a buzzer that summons either tea or chocolate, & someone is standing in the doorway with a tray, and a third bubble with a magical bottle of covid elixir cure, an ornate spoon & a magazine that reads an advert ‘magic cure for covid, without peer review or scientific rigour’.
View from behind a woman lying in bed but on her side facing the door in which a child’s silhouette stands. Text reads “unable to recover in peace I begin to imagine how I could make things better for myself.”
Drawing of a Frazzled ill woman’s face next to a thermometer that indicates 38.9° fever. Text “i have a persistent fever and am feeling hot! Hot! Hot! Not roadworthy.”
A woman is sick in bed, her phone glaring “answer me!! 0303 YOU’RE UNDER SUSPICION” (0303 was the number to text to report we were staying home if confirmed Covid positive) The thought bubble reads “just let me isolate in peace, I’m ill.” The text narrative reads day 5: i can barely get up and I have taken 11 calls in 24 hours from track & trace, most of them laden with fines if I go out.”
Alt text to follow as I’ll share a thread of the individual images.
Found this ‘comic strip’ I made when I was sick with covid during 2021. I had forgotten about it as was really sick for about a fortnight.

Rise and shine!
Rough drawing of a little terrier facing left, with a chewed up peg beside her. The text reads “spring is sprung! The first laundry pegged out means the first peg has been chewed.”
Little Dora dog is rather taken by the new seasonal availability of pegs for chewing.
I’ve been having fun experiment with multimedia collage today. Painted images then digitised & manipulated. It’s nothing fancy or extraordinary but damn it’s fun!
Plum, sunshine, apple & scarlet ink bottles painted in the inks themselves.
An ink drawing of a family looking at a litter of puppies at the Dogs Trust. They want to adopt one puppy.
In this drawing, two children are cradling a puppy who is peering up at them. In the background the Mother is signing adoption papers with the Dogs Trust rep.
In this drawing, there is a montage of the little dog’s activities. He leaps and runs in tall grass. He sings to sing when his owner plays harmonica. He refuses to get his paws wet. He gnaws on a bone. He cuddles his Mum (me).
In this drawing, there is an empty dish, a collar & lead pictured. On a dark horizon are silhouettes of 3 dogs. The foreground reads 2015-2023 Chuck. Chuck has passed away, after a rapid tumour grew. He went to sleep the same day as his Pal Monty, & joins his old best friend Bailey.
Goodbye Pal.

Important to have someone who will listen without judgement or advice.
Two pairs of shoes on a step. One pair is bigger, brown and suggestive of a man. Other pair are smaller, gold sequinned trainers and suggestive of a woman. They are together to identify the nature of the couple.
