I should add that I usually also lack the energy to watch films or play games! As well as respond to messages etc. most people don’t realise these things actually take energy.

Those 6 hours a day are precious even if often they are difficult tho! I have to be grateful I can get up and about at all I suppose.
Yes believe it or not, it takes, at least for me, a certain cognitive energy to actually enjoy listening to music which often (most the time) I don’t have.
Some people seem to envy spending approx 18 hours a day in bed as if it’s some kinda luxury, which I get if it’s a one off. It really wears thin when that’s most of your days, and brain fog means you can’t engage with reading, art or even (listening to) music
I wanna write on the limitations of having chronic illness / pain while being a working class experimental musician and all that stuff, but… I’m too knackered and ill all the time to do that
Being ill all the time is fucking shit tbh
is it a stretch for me to be mad suspect of white boys in ‘post punk’ bands that claim to hate dub?
I meant to say perfect WEEK (after touring with French underground legends Grrzzz who have been at it longer than I have been alive)
The night ended with us in his backstage area. Trying to talk to him while he scoffed a bowl of mixed fruits and nuts while fretting for his signature ski shades, then Sydney trying to get back her shades she lent him before I had to sprint for my train. I share his resentment of the main light.
Still can’t believe I got to see Martin Rev in farsley the other day. Very surreal experience. It was the perfect way of getting schooled by the elders. At 77 he still encapsulated the spirit of Suicide. I rarely go and see my ‘heroes’ but it was so worth it!
2FAC & Phantasy delivering a deliriously unhinged blast of libidinal carnage, poking more than a bit of fun at oh-so-serious posturing.

Manchester comrades! Protest this weekend! Please share!
NEVERMIND THEN HAHA
This record is just so so good. The fact they’re all kids is insane. Perfect intersection between anarcho / post punk & goth, can’t stop listening. & a 16 year old Chris liberator (now acid techno legend) on bass.

Leucotome have just released their first music! Cassettes here if that’s your thing: tinyurl.com/Crush4Leucot...
‘Leucotome are the perfect agglomeration of everything that was good about those legendary Factory Records bands and other 1979-82 flange-pedal covens - especially the more skeletal- and abject-sounding groups, like Section 25 and AC Marias.’
CZR #004 out now!

Those lucky enough to have a golden ticket to the Tristwch y Fenywod / Leucotome show at Hallé St. Michael’s tomorrow night (well, technically tonight) have first dibs on the new Leucotome demo tape. There will be a VERY limited amount for sale!
Love it when people leave their day tickets on the machine when they’ve finished using them, should be standard practise! Also bus tickets in manc now last for an hour, so be sure to hand your ticket to someone getting on if you’re only making the one trip in an hour!
ps thank you Tapeline for sending the cassettes in this neat little briefcase
CZR #004 is imminent! The Leucotome tapes will be available on the CZR Bandcamp soon! also in person at their show supporting Tristwch y Fenywod @ St. Michael’s church on the 1st of Feb (which is sold out!!)

Playing a solo gig in Leeds next month!
The Screamers, live at The Target 1978. When I did vox in a punk band I wanted to be as cool as Tomata Du Plenty. youtu.be/MdCRcrgX080?...
gonna do a thread of my favourite live footage of bands (either gigs or ‘session’ type vids) for my own reference but also for yours! starting with a banger, Bad Brains @ CBGB 1982 youtu.be/5gTFRHOb9us?...
I’ve still never seen Inland Empire, Lost Highway or Dune. Probs time for a DL marathon. It’s rare a celeb death stings as much as this one, at least I know I’m sharing it with lotssss of people
What’s the best way to get music played on bbc radio (like the freak zone thing?) ((not my music))
