Do they know there are brown British workers too?
That is disgusting. Everyone knows a junior doctor is anyone not a consultant.
Restless legs seriously suck. Worse than pain. Moving is about the only thing that works - and sometimes getting really cold legs but that's not really ideal...
When it comes to the Doctors strike, it's difficult to know who to believe. On the one hand you have people who spend their lives saving people from dying and on the other hand you have a Government who lie about absolutely everything. It's a coin toss.

I love my dumbass dog. I bought a 2x4 for a project and she's here thinking, OMG BIGGEST STICK EVER.
Forced into doing the right thing again!
Probably stale, unlikely to kill you!
Agree. But until those same cities make public transport viable for us, we will be entering the city in our car.
On the other hand post to the Netherlands would still be quite feasible until the 18th. Normally a bit quicker but the Dutch do like their Christmas cards so the posties get busy.
I missed this from Friday. Confirms they still don’t know whether those renewing visas will be impacted by the increase to the MIR. Astonishing this position is still not finalised. Adds to the story that this was made up last minute. homeofficemedia.blog.gov.uk/2023/12/08/r...

Grant Shapps on the radio this morning pontificating about how evil people smugglers are and how Rwanda is going to fix all that.
The Home Office’s definition of “success” for the Rwanda Bill is that “hundreds” of people will be sent to Rwanda, once again leaving open what will happen to the tens of thousands who won’t be

All of you stay where you are. If you dare come here you are 'not admissible' and not entitled to protection.
Home Office resettlement plans are great if you are from that area and you are lucky enough to get a place. Everyone else, you're on your own and if you come by boat you're not even allowed to ask for protection. Cameroonian gays, Eritrean draft evaders, Iranian opposition members or Christians,
There are currently no visa routes available for the purposes of travelling to the UK to claim asylum, and it is not possible to apply for asylum in the UK without being physically present here.

Every single journalist who has stood up and asked whether this will work is an accomplice in this collapse into full, proud, fascism and racism. Not ONE has asked whether any of this is right at all. Not ONE notes the essence of this policy is antithetical to the furtherance of the human race.

In the Netherlands right now it is the lack of FPTP that is stopping the far right from governing on its own. They may have won the most votes but are having little joy forming a coalition and can't govern without one.
Rest in Peace Benjamin Zephaniah. Lord that's sad.

Happy Christmas Jumper Day!
You deserve to live a life free from antisemitism, unqualified. People can criticise your views if they want to, without attacking who you are. Antisemitism is wrong, evil, damaging and unacceptable.
A treaty with Rwanda isn't worth the paper it is printed on. It doesn't even begin to resolve the issues which the Supreme Court raised in its ruling that the policy was unlawful, and doesn't change how we should be investing in our own asylum system.

Yes, the caselaw overall in this area is not favourable. The UK courts uphold the right of the government to make the rules until they seriously breach human rights, in this case Art. 8.

It's not immigration ruining the country, it's the conservatives.
The way that has been found around that is that you have the right to marry but not the right to live your married life in the country of your choosing. You can go and be married in the other country. PS Don't shoot the messenger.
