I actually am using the items *for* NG+ from the item shop. This isn’t some challenge run, I’m actually using the tools for this purpose and still just going through a massive slog. Everything but the infinite ammo items and the Hot Dogger.

And it sucks! I love a challenge! I’m a fan of some real curb-stompers as far as difficulty is concerned! But there’s friction and then there’s outright bullshit. R3Make is outright bullshit 60% of the time on anything higher than Standard and QA certainly wasn’t listened to.

I rarely actually think this with sincerity but I mean when I say whoever designed this dodge should have been shamed in the streets. I know OG3 had a bad dodge too, but Resi since HAD DECENT DEFENSE MECHANICS! Bare minimum Ethan’s defense worked! Why is Jill worse at this than a random husband?

Not to mention fighting Nemesis on this difficulty is on average a slog. I don’t mind him being a little more aggro, but with this shitass dodge timing the fact that he can just chain command grabs that I can’t really react to (not even reaction time, just weird amounts of windup) sucks shit!

It wasn’t as big a deal on Standard but any harder and the game is thumping your balls into a table with a leatherbound tome spine-first.

God I’m like three deaths from just uninstalling R3Make. It feels okay at best to play on harder difficulties and I can’t stand that it breaks the rules of previous REMakes time and time again.
