I remember reading this at the time. It’s so hard to not fall into doomerism sometimes, seeing decades of alarm bells going off and no one doing anything about any of it.

That’s what makes me so mad about these, and anti-choice laws being passed. They know it’s a losing battle, but in the chaos they sow, real people are hurt and reactionaries feel emboldened. It’s so needless.
