The growing number and sophistication of satellite maneuvers is a significant challenge to space situational awareness. In this video — generated by COMSPOC’s SSASuite® and depicting its high-fidelity analysis — you can see an example of the kind of precise maneuver characterization that you...(1/4)

Map of a city with a small red dot icon in the upper left acting as a 0.1 watt GPS Jammer. About 2/3 of the area of the picture is unable to receive GPS, with the other 1/3 colored from red, to purple to blue, showing the maximum PDOP values.
The tiny, 0.1 watt GPS jammer at the upper left can cause a huge outage. This is the amount of power your phone charger uses when it is done charging your phone and just idle.
The colors represent the maximum PDOP in the area, with the no color area unable to get a GPS signal because of the jamming.
Finally gave a face lift to my personal site. Needs to happen about every 10 years or so. For the website I mean. teddriver.net
#Java is 30! From a dev POV, Java was so much better than C++. I moved immediately when it came out. My code from 2002 in Java still runs great. When C# came along, it was better than Java (and no Oracle), so I moved, never looking back. My OS Java projects: github.com/tdriver/Java...

AI and the new agentic processes are happening fast. If you are not using AI yet, it's good to be familiar with it at least. Great talk with Eric Schmidt.

OK, this is wild.
In September 2023, geophysicists across the world started monitoring a very odd signal coming from the ground under them.
It was picked up in the Arctic. And Antarctica. It was detected everywhere, every 90 seconds, as regular as a metronome, for *nine days*.
What the HELL?

Advancing global space sustainability starts with collaboration. 🌐🤝 At the upcoming ISO TC20/SC14 Plenary in Tsukuba, Japan (May 19–23), COMSPOC Chief Scientist Dan Oltrogge will work to build consensus on space safety standards.
GPS data for the first 4 months of 2025 is now up at github.com/tdriver/2025...
Data includes SEM almanacs, Precise ephemeris, broadcast ephemeris, Satellite Outage Files (SOF, Performance Assessment Files (PAF) and Prediction support Files (PSF)
Glad you liked it! Gps accuracy works just like predictable weather fronts.
Got a free license, for personal use, to their tools. Love 'em!

Graph of Temperature, wind speed and wind chill over a day, showing a marked decrease in wind chill temperature (10's of degrees) with just a small increase in wind speed (5 mph) The temps are all below 0 degrees F, with the lowest wind chill reaching -34 degrees F. This is on January 15, 2024.
I love Winforms. I can't stop using them when I need something for my desktop. Here's where I learned how much just a little wind affects the temperature, when it's extremely cold. This plots any metric from Mongo for a date range, taken from my Ambient weather station.

Sneaky devil.
Love using #dotnet 9, via #linqpad charting, accessing my #mongodb weather data from my personal weather station. A quick query shows the last six years of high temps (in degrees F).
Definitely - it was pretty easy I thought.
C# is such a fantastic language, the whole #dotnet system really.
First, set a deprecation policy to manage expectations.
How you version is up to you - in the route, in the header, doesn't make too much of a difference. But - definitely HAVE a version somewhere. And don't waffle on following your deprecation policy, it only generates tech debt.
I wrote this site in Blazor a couple of years ago now. Loved it then - I need to get back to it!

Google Calendar message that it is now available in dark mode.
It took YEARS to get this. The only thing on my tabs that was light.
I spent the day going through old disks of my software. I was using Turbo C++ (from Borland) and stored all my code on floppys. Version control was handled by copying new versions to one of three disks. And I never wrote code assuming that the internet was up. Can software be antique?

Yes! I remember when they were launched - it was a big deal. I bet they will last longer than Earth.
Outlook is horrible too.
This is neat
Great - much appreciated!
I have created a Blazor starter pack where I have added people who are Blazor entusiasts.
Let me know if I am missing someone and I’ll add them ❤️

Speaking of which, has anyone seen a pro/con list comparing Maui to the Uno platform?
Trying to decide which direction head.
Curious, how are you learning?
