If anybody ever asks you "what's that dude's newsletter all about," this is a decent one to show them pebblehunting.substack.com/p/the-nudge-...
Whoever is in charge of vibes for the Dodgers needs to take emergency action
when robots take over, they're not going to run like a toddler with a full diaper, they're going to be the size of grains of salt and crawl up our noses to access our neural network, this is all misdirection
I'll send you a link when the piece is done. I don't want to say what it's about or it'll a) ruin the surprise and b) quite possibly sound so stupid that i won't go through with it
yup, got it, thank you
Wow, gorgeous
That's a beauty
It would be a big help this weekend if you can let me know any time (inning, batter) a broadcast shows the lengthwise in-the-dugout shot. Like this one basically:
Oh it counts, that is the platonic ideal of that shot

it would take an entire episode to get me to understand this joke
Vogt Trying to Decide How Mad To Be About A Late Timeout Call is a trend that's sweeping through Cleveland ball stadiums
We really need to rehabilitate the intentional walk. It's James Wood! A 2-0 count with first base open! The go-ahead run on second, two outs! A right-hander with a career .626 OPS on deck!
Today for @baseballprospectus.com I conducted some vital research, creating a taxonomy of TOOTBLANs. It's time for us to properly categorize the baserunning error, so we can both count them, and shame them, properly.
Hooboy. Ten hits now. Hitting .435/.480/.870 in 25 PA.
Literally the worst hitter in baseball against lefties last year (min 100 PA)
nine
No big deal, something just like this happened in the first game I ever played
Aw man that would be very bummer
Love Vogt trying to decide how mad to be about a late timeout call:
Stick shift on the right side here
catcher called time, went jogging out to the mound, Kimbrel didn't see it until he'd already started delivering
In a series of events, Francisco Alvarez ended up in a squat in front of home plate while Craig Kimbrel makes his delivery.
How to keep Ohtani from homering:
The Maddux/Bagwell thing never made sense to me. Why would Bagwell expect Maddux to keep throwing the pitch Bagwell had homered on? Wouldn't Maddux throw pitchers Bagwell hadn't hit hard? Doesn't this supposed trickery only work in reverse, with the hitter rope-a-doping?
eight hits against lefties this year.
Last year, .102/.224/.176
This year, .533/.563/1.133
