Really cool. Also I sure made a ton of music in 2010 somehow.

I'm sure I won't ever release it. I wrote it early on, and I didn't like the verbosity of it (though it was also just stupid in general), which is why I didn't release it then. In my mind, the "in-universe" text is basically unrelated to what I originally wrote there.
This was one of many things I've started but didn't go anywhere. That's just kinda the stage I'm in right now.
I cut a lot of corners with it usability-wise, so writing it was easy, but *using* it was the rough part. Today I would use something like Crocotile 3D instead prominent.itch.io/crocotile3d but I'm not sure if any such thing existed ten years ago (whoa) when I was starting Petscop.
Petscop I had my own custom editor for the maps but used Blender for smaller models. 3DWI is 100% modeled and rendered in Blender, there's no game engine.
Yeah that's fine with me.
Yeah absolutely, I have no problem with that.
Getting close to Halloween again so check out this series of screenshots that tell a story about a really scary screensaver program.
Yeah

Yeah go ahead. ๐
I do. Maybe it would be good to re-release my old music on Bandcamp at some point.

Yeah I still like a lot of the music I was making at that time.
I still make music, but I keep abandoning projects, so there's a lot of stuff where I haven't gotten the chance to use it for anything yet.
I used Wise Installation System (version 5) on a Windows 98 VM to create those installer screenshots, though they were partially hand-edited also.
I haven't been frustrated with the Godot docs once so far, which is more than I can say for anything else.
A number of things, but mostly C++ with different libraries (SFML, SDL, Cinder). Though I haven't exactly finished many games or game-adjacent projects since 2010.
Working on something now, though who knows what will come of it at this point.
(It's Godot BTW.)
A nice thing about a game engine is you can get inspired by just browsing the documentation.
Using a full-fledged game engine for the first time since 2010.
Not sure that I've ever felt as satisfied with a project as this one. It's been a month and I don't even hate it yet.

I abandoned the project I was referring to then, but it had the same name and similar elements to this much smaller project. I have no current plans for anything larger.
