by structure i mean they set up the research question, "the tradwife community frames itself as this, is that actually the case?" to me that works better than starting the article with "the tradwife community is lying" from a narrative perspective.

they weren't actually "surprised", they lay out in the intro to the article that trad wife content contains a lot of hostile sexism. i think they have to structure the article this way because that's how it fits in the literature, but i could see an argument for setting up the hypotheses another way
