My angry email tell is that I sign off with "Best regards." Anyway, I just sent an email to a colleague.

May I humbly request a Taskmaster-themed bonus episode? π
Small orange dog confidently walking towards the camera. He's outdoors on gravel with plants and a fence on either side.
I adopted this little guy at the end of November. He is getting more confident every day, which makes my heart happy. #DogsOfBluesky #AcademicsWithDogs
Reminder that here in Canada, Carney is making substantial cuts to Fisheries and Oceans (-70%), Environment and Climate Change (-45%), Agriculture and Agri-Food (-10%), and Natural Resources (-5%), and closing multiple research stations.
Any time. Sometimes you just need permission, even if it's purely decorative.

Oh. Of course. π I was unaware of this conspiracy, but the source is no surprise.
What? How did we get here? I'm so baffled.

All Canadians over 16 are invited to comment on this Transport Canada public consultation on headlight glare: tc.canada.ca/en/corporate...
Please participate if you're able! The brightness of LED headlights is out of control, and they're a real hazard to drivers and pedestrians.
Got it. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Very helpful.
Ah, thanks. Are the current fighting powers major enough? What counts as major? It seems like they are drawing in other states, but is there a certain threshold for how many other states and how major those states need to be?
I'm curious: is there an official definition of a World War? How do we know when we're in one? any historians or political science people able to weigh in? #AcademicSky

Patient: I thought that was over.
Me: It's not.
Close up of a Great Blue Heron just standing on a fence.
Close encounter with this gorgeous fellow on my morning walk.
And most of the time by the time I log in someone else has taken care of it and I have no idea what happened.
Oh yeah I got this notice too. There is several hours worth of training I need to wade through. What the heck? It was also sent like an admonishment, that somehow I'm a slacker who has been neglecting this training. But I'm quite sure this is a first notice.
Excellent!
Happy World Hearing Day on March 3rd to all who celebrate! I'm looking forward to giving a talk on Healthy Hearing/ Healthy Aging in honor of the day. π
Yep, ORS opened up my application this evening to correct an error! Definitely possible.
I submitted to UBC before noon today, feeling very smug. Just got it sent back to me to correct a small error! Thankful for the eagle-eyed person who caught the mistake, but that was 45 minutes of stress I did not need.
Ah yes, I remember this day clearly, two months after I moved to Seattle for school.
