This feels like the case with a lot of these folks. I listen to them talk and it's like a bit of a dial tone. You can see why authoritarianism appeals to them because they're not getting this power and authority in a true meritocracy. They can only get it in a world where sucking up is rewarded.

I was raised to use margarine for everything and when I was 23-24, I tried butter, and holy hoppin' hamsters, it was like I tasted food for the very first time that day. I've been Team Butter ever since.
Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.
Not only does it not have anything to do with crime, the obsession with immigration and flexing for social media is actually making this country more hospitable for criminals. This administration is hard on made-up crime and soft on real crime.
The fact that more Americans see immigration as a positive thing than at any point in the last couple of decades definitely seems like a strong bit of evidence that people do, in fact, care.
Clearly being a huge asshole is a prerequisite for a job with this administration.
You want to know what a couple of decades of standardized testing has done to literacy rates?
Look around, friends.
It's so disturbing to see the way this is being soft-pedaled for the sake of an increasingly obsolete definition of "objectivity."
I'm not sure I agree with this, actually. I think there's a lot of evidence to the contrary.
Watching Pam Bondi attack Sen. Whitehouse in lieu of answering a question about photos of Trump with topless girls is how I know there are photos of Trump with topless girls.
Please make this guy's fall as hard and humiliating as possible.
Feels like an important distinction to me.
This is some absolutely psychotic shit. It really is all just a big game to them.
It's crazy how much money these guys will throw at any fool thing that fluffs them. It's pretty pathetic to see how needy and thin-skinned they are.
Arsonist says there are too many fires as he starts another fire.
In my community they are. There are people who protest both outside of the senator's local office and the representative's small businesses. I'm not sure where you live but I wouldn't assume that no one is doing anything just because you hadn't heard about it. Our info ecosystem is that busted.
I've given up on the idea of him ever seeing justice, but everyone he's surrounded himself with is in their 40s and 50s. Also I'm pretty sure that SCOTUS presidential immunity ruling doesn't include them.
Join up with a local group that's organizing against the administration? Harass your Republican lawmakers? Donate to groups like the ACLU that are suing the federal government? Work with local organized labor on a labor or economic strike? There are a lot of things you can do.
If she's like the rest of this administration, she's probably on a lot of drugs. Those are the legs of someone who isn't really eating a lot these days, which also has a way of making people mental.
Of course she finds a way to make herself the victim. Because she's always the victim.
He doesn't even believe it! He turns bright red when he lies, and he basically looks like he has a sunburn these days.
It's for fun but he takes no pleasure in it? But it's fun?
According to eyewitnesses, armed ICE agents dragged kids out of their beds in the middle of the night, zip tied them and put them in rented vans while raiding an * entire apartment building* on the South Side of Chicago.

FUCK THEM KIDS.
These people are literal monsters.
And student debt forgiveness too (as if any of the guys showing up to work for ICE went to college...)
Way to have your finger on the pulse of the discourse, dudes.
This administration has really served as a homing beacon for literally the worst human beings this country has to offer.
