I think Ryan is right here: As knowledge production becomes easier, the hard task becomes its consumption.
It's also why I'm building @scilove.bsky.social - hoping it will help with this task!
How and why does support for redistribution change across the seasons? ☀️
Excited to present new work with @hannaschwander.bsky.social tomorrow at the University of Barcelona.
Drop by if you're in town.
I am looking for a postdoc to join my team at the University of Bremen. 5-year-contract, top-up to 100% possible for most of the contract period.
Apply by 04 May 2026.
If you have questions about the position, send me an email!

The best political news in a long time and a special joy for a CEU alum! 🇭🇺 🇪🇺
Excited to be in Barcelona until the end of May. Hit me up to grab coffee and chat research or all things AI. Thanks to @ibei.org for hosting me!
I'm working to hard make SciLove available as a self-standing app.
📣 If you are an Android user, you can help out by becoming a tester. What's in it for you? Early access to a fully functional beta version.
Simply join the group of test users and install the app: groups.google.com/g/scilove_be...
Spread the word. Once we have enough testers together, google will generously allow making SciLove openly available through the App store.
Obviously that should say I'm "working hard to" but maybe I'm also working a little too hard on it
In case you are wondering, SciLove is a new tool I built that helps you keep up with research in your favorite journals.
Check it out at www.scilove.app or see the thread below👇

Also finding it hard to keep up with new research? I built something to fix this.
SciLove — swipe through recent papers in your field. The feed learns from your saves. Also matches you with researchers saving your work back (opt-out if you prefer).

3,000+ journals, updated daily
Thanks, that's great to hear! Will add the journals in the next round. And yes, good point, an undo option is in the making.
SciLove is one week old. 280 researchers across 33 countries, 2,025 papers saved, 14k+ swipes.
Thank you to everyone who tried it early and provided feedback. Little tweaks and new journals have hopefully already improved the experience.
Here's what the week looked like. 🧵
You should be able to scroll down, accept the terms and continue?
Yeah, I'm curios what qualifies as "advanced casual"
Casual methods also taking over at Oxford 😍

If you are still here and haven't yet checked out SciLove, go ahead and let me know what you think.
It's free and you can easily sign up with a few clicks.

Lots to like, but yeah, scientists are a tough crowd.
New users came in quickly, especially from political science--which is where I'm home. Really appreciate many of you spreading the word.
Mostly European researchers so far. Germany 🇩🇪 leads, followed by the US 🇺🇸, UK 🇬🇧, France 🇫🇷, and Netherlands 🇳🇱.

Thank you Hanna, that's very kind! Unlike Tinder though, the papers do not reject you ;) (h/t @robertvief.bsky.social)
Keeping up with research just got a lot more fun!
@beckerbastian.bsky.social has built something genuinely clever: a “Tinder for science” that helps you discover papers in a much more intuitive way.
If you’re tired of endless PDFs and search queries, give it a try 👉 www.SciLove.app
The journal structure is far from perfect right now, especially outside of political science, where my knowledge is limited. Thanks for sharing the list, I'll look into it. In the meantime, let me know if you are missing specific journals.
Click on ⚙️ in the top-left corner, then go to Discovery settings
Put it on the list, will be added with the next update.
