I do all my pixel art in Aseprite.
I mostly use mouse and keyboard along side a wacom tablet. Sometimes I use my microsoft surface instead.
Size depends on what I'm drawing but I like characters between 32px and 98px

Ah thanks! Gamemaker seems really good so I wanna learn it. I will try and remember this for when I do

I'm curious about the pink tiles. I understand that they are ment to be transparent but why is it good practice to do that? Is it only a Gamemaker thing or is it good practice for all engines?
I've never heard/seen that before so I'm intrigued :)
