A person in yellow hazardous material suit and gas mask stands in a green-aired garden space outside an eerie, foreboding A-roofed house. The whole image feels cursed.

Finally revealing our game! It's called #Crop, and it’s a gritty farming thriller 👀🌱
We’ve teamed up with @11bitstudios.bsky.social to bring it to life, and have poured a lot into it over the past three years. Including our despair at the times we live in.
While we’re getting ready to share more about our game, here’s some early concept art to tease!
Damn, Cairn by @thegamebakers.com is a beautiful game, and you should all play it! Oh you have? Yeee late to the party as usual
Mark your calendars on April 9 👀 Just saying...
Atmosphere’s everything in our game, here’s a glimpse of the day/night cycle ☁️
Slowly exiting the dev bubble and starting to share more again. A bit scary, but exciting times!
We’ve been awfully quiet for too long. Here’s a very first glimpse of our project! More soon 👀
2. What we expect from a good new game is fundamentally different than a movie. While the basics of film or literature is roughly the same across all works, with games it seems a whole new medium is invented with every innovative project (simply rephrasing "making games is hard" I guess)
But a couple of obvious thoughts:
1. What (I assume) you’re after is considered very niche, even when compared to obscure films, and are therefore both hard to fund/make and discover
Very interesting. We definitely have some curation issues. And games are so varied they seem more comparable to video as a format than the specific subset of feature films. Grouping TikTok with a 7 season series would be strange, and our conversations/definitions constantly fall short.
