I found it easier as an audio book. I started out not liking it and by the time I finished I enjoyed the book. The writing style was an adjustment for sure but I’d read another one like it

My pleasant surprise of the month was stumbling upon this audio book while searching for another Stephen King novel.
This book is humorous and super informative in a slightly macabre way.
Do yourself a favor pick this book up give it a try and learn a little bit about US history.

Thanks put it on my to read list! Heavy books are usually the most compelling for sure. The bean trees made me cry when I was a kid but it still sticks with me.

My favorite book this month was Dr sleep by Stephen King. I’ve watched the movie but there is just so much more in the book. I was captivated from start to finish.

Light from uncommon stars by Ryka Aoki was a different perspective that I read this month. This is how you lose the time war may be considered flowery it was a style of writing that took a sec to get used to, I found the book moving.

#nonfiction #booksky Immune is a great nonfiction book that helps the average person understand the immune system.
It’s kinda wild how we hope for all these magical vitamins and supplements to make us healthy but in reality the biggest thing you can do is eat better .

Birdseye is a super quick non fiction if you want something different.
Birdseye was an interesting man, inventor , naturalist & outdoorsman.
Thinking this book was just about the invention of fast frozen food & home freezers I was pleasantly surprised it was much more. #book sky #nonfiction

Cover shot of nonfiction book “ medicine river : a story of survival and the legacy of Indian boarding schools“ this was an difficult read but essential read. The horrors that were perpetrated on our native people is shameful. This book helps to bring to light the continual effort of christian religion and the American government to eradicate native people and culture.

Medicine river is an essential read . Where Bury my heart at wounded knee educated me on the dishonesty and geonocidal treatment of Native American ppl by the US government this book shed light on the disgraceful part christian religion. #audiobook #booksky #nonfiction

This book is a great illustration of the difficulties women have faced in the past, while money can make somethings easier women were rarely taken seriously. #audiobook #booksky

Just finished Hedy’s folly by Richard Rhodes a short audio book about Hedy Lamarr and her contributions to the war effort.
I enjoyed this book. It is unfortunate that she was taken all that seriously because of her beauty but at least in the end her contributions were recognized.

I prefer show or movie first that way I can appreciate it because the book is almost always superior.
