Some ppl never watched that one Disney channel movie where the city girl is like "i know how to drive" and the hot country boy is like "not stick shift you don't" and then it's a mickey mouse miracle they're still alive after that driving lesson (this is about ppl "critiquing" Batman (2025) #2 btw)

the richest players ofc have cash incentives to die, as the game will pay them extra to continue.

video game mechanic for ppl who like verisimilitude: if you have enough money, when you die you can respawn with some to no penalties, depending on your price point. if you can't afford, your account is deleted and you have to pay even more to get a *chance* to start over.

tired of people getting all indignant that English isn't a dead language and thus subject to change over time at the behest of its native speakers (especially in our ever-shifting digital landscape where innovation is required to successfully navigate changes to communication and culture)

Don't be afraid to draw boundaries for yourself when socializing bc you shouldn't have to be miserable to see other people even if it's "supposed" to be fun (i.e., "I don't go to movie theaters or big arcades, but I do enjoy the tabletop game cafe")

There's a discrepancy rn between DC corporate-side messaging and DC creative-side messaging, and I worry that the creative side, who have been doing phenomenal work, are now much less safe than they were before, esp marginalized creators.

is the NWS getting defunded the reason why my weather app swears it's not going to rain today while my line-dry laundry gets line-wet instead?

also, why did editorial consistently allow this to happen?

#FF #FollowFriday @zoewithasword.bsky.social. It's not easy to speak up when you see terrible things in your own industry. Zoe did a really brave thing today that helps protect every vulnerable person who works in comics during a very critical time for our country. Follow her and buy her books.

I get that graffiti, especially of like monuments or whatever, is against the law, but is it really the sort of crime that makes you a supervillain??? (or maybe it's using fun little rocket boots to do it? πŸ€”) Anyway, god forbid women do anything πŸ™„

anyway I love this run, highly recommend, and @ffrancavilla.bsky.social's art really sells the tension running underneath this quieter scene

it's great bc Maggie Sawyer is legit supposed to be "one of the good ones" but like she's *still* doing an authoritarian militarized police state, and the dissonance between those two things really feels like The Point.

Coming down the otherwise quiet street is a large futuristic-looking robot, armed with advanced weaponry and marked "police". The police commissioner proudly tells the little girl "that's one of ours" but the girl is still terrified. The cop says, smiling, that the robots are there to protect people - to protect police. hesitating, as if having a moment of clarity, she adds "it's not supposed to be scary."
