it's great bc Maggie Sawyer is legit supposed to be "one of the good ones" but like she's *still* doing an authoritarian militarized police state, and the dissonance between those two things really feels like The Point.

A young girl meets her mother's new girlfriend, and notices her police badge. She shows fear, as cops in Bludhaven have the worst reputation in the country, but her mother assures her that the recently appointed police commissioner is "one of the good ones." the girl turns and sees something on the street, visibly alarmed.

Coming down the otherwise quiet street is a large futuristic-looking robot, armed with advanced weaponry and marked "police". The police commissioner proudly tells the little girl "that's one of ours" but the girl is still terrified. The cop says, smiling, that the robots are there to protect people - to protect police. hesitating, as if having a moment of clarity, she adds "it's not supposed to be scary."
