Hi im artcat and im here to enable learning new things! I have dabbled in spinning. You can dabble cheaply. Search drop spindles (no wheel). For fleece its available ebay Amazon or check ravelry for destinies and giveaways. There are also plans online for making a drop spindle for cheap!

I did this. I took a corporate job years ago. Trading one set of chains for another. Steady paycheck, 401k and health insurance won out over drawing full time. That has given me the freedom to experiment, abandon projects completely, and follow impulsive ideas like my glowing anglerfish painting.

Almost done with my cat drawing and my color pencil is trying to quit.

Does this mean im winning the game of pencil chicken?

Should I give it a ballista style send off? Does anyone have their prismacolor lead pieces for other art?

I've seen a lot of chatter lately about ACEOs (art cards editions & originals). ACEO= tiny 2.5"x3.5" collectible art. it makes qrt more accessible.

Tiny art would be a stretch for me. Thoughts? Should I go for it? For those that have done it, anything I should know? Anything yall want to see?

So I accidentally catapulted my warm grey prismacolor to destinations unknown. ..
Seriously. I accidentally launched it from the elastic band in my pencil case. The pencil shot past me like an arrow.i saw it fly past me and i cannot find it now.

I feel like I'm playing a game of chicken with this colored pencil. Do I have another pencil I could pull out and use... yes. Will I pull it out as long as I sharpen this one? Not a chance!
