Hillingdon is receiving £2.8 million as part of Labour's new Experts at Hand SEND service. They bring specialist professionals directly into local schools to support children with SEND - educational psychologists, speech and language therapists all available closer to home.
Really pleased to hear that HRUC, the further education college serving Uxbridge and South Ruislip, is receiving over £4.6 million to repair and upgrade its college buildings as part of Labour's £1.7 billion investment to modernise further education colleges across the country.
Great to join Uxbridge Community Association for their weekly coffee morning last week. A well-attended event with activities and great conversation every week. A real community hub in the heart of Uxbridge, and of course, great to make a new four-legged friend!
I am urging Reform to withdraw support for their Ickenham and South Harefield candidate following disturbing social media posts. This kind of hatred has no place in Hillingdon. Are these really the people they want running our schools, social care and public services?
Last week, I spent the morning with residents in Uxbridge for a drop-in session, giving them the opportunity to speak about crime and safety concerns in the town centre. Community members shared their experiences and discussed the impact that crime and antisocial behaviour.
Welcome news for Hillingdon! The Government has closed eleven asylum hotels, including the Holiday Inn Heathrow. These closures will save taxpayers nearly £65 million a year, with asylum costs already down by nearly £1 billion since this Government took office.

We're seeing more data centres built and planned in West London as demand for data increases.
It's vital that new data centres in Hillingdon benefit residents, securing local jobs and using excess heat to power our homes and lower bills. Great to hear the Government are taking this seriously.
People are deeply concerned about the dumping of sewage in our local rivers and waterways.
I requested to meet Thames Water at their sewage treatment plant to outline these concerns and hear about what they’re doing to prevent sewage dumping.
Last week, I attended an event with Dementia UK, where we discussed the importance of improving palliative and end-of-life care for people living with dementia.
The current system of palliative care is letting down too many patients and carers across the UK.
I know how many residents in Yiewsley were frustrated by the level of dust coming from the heavy skips and lorries off Tavistock Road.

Yesterday I presented a public petition signed by residents to Parliament, calling for an alternative location to be secured for the Post Office in Uxbridge.
Despite empty promises from the council, little work has been done and the current site is due to close next month.
Always a highlight of my week when I get a chance to chat with school students about the things that they care about.
Last week I visited Vyners School, where we discussed lots of important issues, from student loans to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
This evening, I will be presenting my public petition in the House of Commons calling for urgent action ahead of the closure of the post office on Uxbridge High Street.
With the post office set to close at the end of April, we need an alternative location as a matter of urgency.
It's promising that, thanks to this Labour Government, the number of people claiming food parcels locally and nationally is falling.
But we need to get to a place where no one in this country has to rely on a food bank.
