Finally all recorded songs by my grandparents Uut en Ber Hulsing are available on Spotify.
Some of these were modest hits between 1945 - 1950.

New painting!
For the last 8 years our son Dario Hulsing played on a 250 year old violin that was loaned to him by a very generous violinist. To show our gratitude, Dario composed a beautiful solo violin piece and I made an oilpainting for him of the violin itself.

Two weeks ago I made this oilpainting during a 6 hour session with good friends.
I tried to be precise and loose at the same time and I enjoyed it a lot. this time!

Last week's edition of #nrchandelsblad by #Arnongrunberg about Alma Mahler featured an illustration that I made.

I made some of the last paintings for the Danse Macabre project.
The release date of Danse Macabre will be 2026.

And I just keep painting!
And enjoying music. It's tripping without drugs and without any side effects, apart from dirty hands and clothes. And all sorts of colored spots on my face.

I am getting into looser brushwork lately.
Here are some new oil sketches from the last two weeks. These were fantastic models to draw. Great poses, beautiful bodies!

For his final exam, he gave beautiful performances of Bach’s Chaconne and Prokofiev’s 1st Violin Sonata.

I started working on the film 8 years ago, but had to pause for a while, because of the big projects that I directed for Amazon and Netflix.
In the meantime the nightmare got a bit closer.
