“My Josie . .” He cooed, as he drifted off again and held her closer.

Half asleep from the effects of the sunlight outside their room, he’s sleepily tugging her into his arms with a smile.
They’ll leave as soon as the sun goes down.
He knows they can’t eat, but he wants to take her out to dinner to celebrate. To her favourite restaurant.
He can’t believe it, a baby girl . . @purrisssimus.bsky.social
He had hoped, but he wasn’t sure. Angelique can be quite spiteful . .
It worked?
Oh? Do tell.
He’s got what he needs for them to be able to have children from their own bodies. @purrisssimus.bsky.social
“It was an affair, that’s all. You know it and I know it.” He responded with a sigh.
“And yet here you are, carrying his child and remarrying him, so something must have changed. I dare you to tell me you don’t love him.”
“you’re getting a family with my cousin.” he quietly reminded her. “don’t I deserve the same opportunities after all I’ve endured?”
Of course he felt miserable that he couldn’t give her children, and he knew it bothered her, even if she never said so.
“You’re positive this will help me get her pregnant?” He asked, as he took them from her.
He’d been about to ignore her presence, like he normally did, until she spoke. “I want Josie to able to have children from her body, she deserves that.” He mumbled into his glass.
If that’s what will make her happy.
But children that came from their bodies . .
He didn’t ask, all he could think was they never can . .
He didn’t need to.
He was thinking the same about her.
Again, doubtful.
Sure she did.
Not if she was doing it to spite him.
Perhaps not, but she has a lot of spite. This is exactly the kind of she would do, knowing he can’t have it.
Angelique is pregnant, to his cousin no doubt.
He’s not sure so about that.
A family, the one thing himself and his sweet Josie can never have . .
. . Lucky her.
Why does he get the feeling she’s about to gloat?
. . Isn’t she going along with his cousin?
Quietly letting her in, he immediately went to sit back down beside Josie once the door was shut.
They’ll be waiting.
