Ammoudi in Agios Nikolaos, Crete, is a Blue Flag site featuring shallow, turquoise waters, tamarisk trees for shade. Perfect for a natural, peaceful escape. The scenery is stunning — dramatic cliffs with no buildings around — and the only sounds are the goat bells and the wind. The water is shallow and clear, with some rocks, and the sandy area has larger grains.
