Does anyone know how much a tonne of the current aggregate being used in road construction cost compared to Tire Derived Aggregate? @mmsbnl

I would not think so, Minister Petten seems to be willing to provide any information he has access to. Maybe you can contact Coastal Tire Recycling and or the @mmsbnl.bsky.social to find out how much a tonne of TDA is compared to what is currently being used. #nlpoli

That is true. My question is what is the cost for a tonne of TDA versus the current one being used? I've been asking government about using rubber modified asphalt for years but they said it was to expensive to import so now with our own facility what is the cost per tonne? #nlpoli

and reduces ruts the savings in the long run would outweigh the upfront costs. Government needs to work with companies and Coastal Recycling to bring the cost of TDA down. #nlpoli

The @mmsbnl.bsky.social has a pilot project consisting of 7000 tonnes of Tire Derived Aggregate but according to Minister Petten no company has availed of it due to cost. Based on the fact that TDA can last up to 3X as long as the current aggregate and is more resistant to cracking 1/ #nlpoli

Can the minister of transportation, Barry Petten, or someone from the @mmsbnl explain why there is no savings in the tire recycling program if we no longer have to pay costs associated with shipping used tires out of province to Quebec? #nlpoli

You know what really worries me most about this @PremierofN, it is that your minister of health and community services, Lela Evans, basically told me she knows nothing about it. #nlpoli

It’s ironic that the @PremierofNLis disappointed with former premier Furey’s unwillingness to release the Rothschild report while his government is refusing to release the Change Healthcare Canada report that has cost us millions and could cost us as much as $35M #nlpoli 1/

Jonathan Rowe your motion would require a new monitoring system, why? Are you saying that the current monitoring system is not working or are you trying to imply that Newfoundlanders & Labradorians if given the same access would be more likely to abuse the current rules? #nlpoli

Why are our MPs playing politics with our recreational fishery? Is it that hard for all our MPs to simply say Newfoundlanders and Labradorians will have exactly the same access to the recreational fishery as the rest of Atlantic Canada? #nlpoli

The House of Assembly reopens next week which should be interesting because we have a weak leader of the opposition and we have a new government that seems to lack direction and the NDP are the NDP. #nlpoli

Of course the premier was going to face criticism over paying someone $275,000 as an advisor but what I don't understand is why he further complicated the problem by pretending it came out an non existing 'Special Fund" from the budget of the MCP. #nlpoli

of Dr. Fitzgerald he was not only demonstrating his knowledge of COVID but because he was not elected in a general election he was trying to project to people he was in charge and setting the stage for the next general election which although he won it was a complete disaster. #nlpoli

I'm sorry if that was the way it came across, I was trying to say that Ball had no knowledge of infectious diseases and Dr. Furey had limited knowledge but Dr. Fitzgerald was the one with the knowledge but because Furey was a Dr. and premier he somehow thought by answering questions asked #nlpoli 1/

As was Dwight ball. I think the difference was because Furey was also a doctor he thought he somehow was able to offer his opinion more so than Ball could but in fact he had no more knowledge of infectious diseases than Ball. #nlpoli

It is somewhat of an opinion but if you watched all of the updates that Dr. Fitzgerald done with Ball and with Furey you will notice that at the ones with Ball it is Dr. Fitzgerald replying to most questions as where with Furey he is quick to jump in an give his opinion. #nlpoli

Actually COVID was better dealt with when Ball was still premier because he allowed Dr. Fitzgerald to do her job. When Furey took over he used his position of premier to interfere resulting in on again off again restrictions that undermined the public's trust in Dr. Fitzgerald's decisions. #nlpoli

But it changes nothing. The only loser is the taxpayers who are footing the bill.

unite the country so I call on both the PM and @pierrepoilievregp.bsky.social to come out publicly and forcefully and declare that this was a fair, free and democratically held election and they stand by the results. #cdnpoli

There is a lot of talk about division in Canada and right now a lot of that division is being fueled by talk of a rigged election. From what I see on here it is mostly Conservative supporters pushing this conspiracy. Both the PM and @pierrepoilievregp.bsky.social
say they want to #cdnpoli 1/

The @CPC_HQ has the best plan to deal with the housing crisis in Canada. When Mark Carney and the Liberals win on April 28 all the Conservative supporters promise to leave Canada. Housing problem solved. #cdnpoli #nlpoli

I'm just listening to @pierrepoillievre.bsky.social, saying he will cut consulting fees by $10B annually and almost $20B over the term? I'm assuming he means term as the PM which is normally 4years. I'm not great at math but if you save $10B a year is that not $40B over 4 years? #cdnpoli

before election day? We had about two million people vote on Good Friday and not one of them knew exactly what the cost of any promise made by any party was. When I say cost I do not mean just in terms of dollars because as some party leaders have said they will be cutting or eliminating #cdnpoli

Every time a policy or program is announced during a campaign I always ask how is it going to be paid for and usually I get no response from the parties but do hear supporters of parties say they will reveal that when the time is right. But when is the right time to reveal that, a week #cdnpoli
