How to Sell a Genocide - Pluto Press A gripping exposé of how the corporate media fuelled genocide in Gaza

Hey all, it’s publishing day for my book “How to Sell a Genocide,” which is a data-driven account of centrist and liberal media’s role in creating the conditions of mass death in Gaza. 100% of royalties go to @mecaforpeace.bsky.social.

Since I've been there twice this year, I can confidently say: Buffalo is the sports town New York City people wish they had.

Remember this when all the Libs on this platform say Democrats are doing “everything in their power” to “oppose Trump” and “what more could you ask of them/they’re not the majority” and then accuse you of “not knowing how congress works”

Last minute absolute meltdown at home by the Clippers in postseason elimination is a good reminder that they were originally a Buffalo sports team (the Buffalo Braves)

The Opening of Trump’s Box - The American Prospect Iran has put a tollgate across the Strait of Hormuz. This fundamentally changes the global economy.

From me: Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz and will collect tolls on it, regardless of the outcome of the war. The price level is permanently higher for oil and gas, which seeps into pretty much everything. Pandora and her box had nothing on Trump.

But you all don’t seem to care about nuance or treating voters as adults who can weigh pros and cons for themselves rather than children, instead it’s this binary stan culture where she never does anything wrong and any criticism must be silenced.

You can simply say she made a bad vote but she’s better than the alternatives, rather than denying her voting record and trying to have it both ways—which, again, is on her for pussyfooting around with all the Iron Dome legislation and the IHRA language, and blatantly lying at her 2024 DNC speech.

Spain's PM labels Israel's death penalty law 'step towards apartheid' Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez condemned as a "step towards apartheid" Monday's approval by the Israeli parliament of a law that would impose death sentence for ‌Palestinians convicted of deadl...

Spain also used the term apartheid in a statement for the first time, though it merely said the law was a "step towards apartheid".

Major human rights organizations have already concluded that apartheid exists today, and the ICJ said in 2024 that the occupation violates the statute against it.

The Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the State of Qatar strongly condemned the Israeli occupying power's enactment of a law in its Parliament (Knesset), that allows the imposition of the death penalty in the occupied West Bank and its de facto application against Palestinians.
The Ministers warned against the increasingly discriminatory, escalating Israeli practices that entrench a system of apartheid and a rejectionist discourse that denies the inalienable rights and the very existence of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT).
The Ministers underscored that this legislation constitutes a dangerous escalation, particularly given its discriminatory application against Palestinian prisoners, and stressed that such measures risk further exacerbating tensions and undermining regional stability.
The Ministers also expressed deep concern over the conditions of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention, warning of mounting risks amid credible reports of ongoing abuses, including torture, inhumane and degrading treatment, starvation, and the denial of basic rights. They emphasized that these practices reflect a broader pattern of violations against the Palestinian people.
The Ministers reaffirmed their opposition to Israel's racially discriminatory, oppressive, and aggressive policies targeting Palestinians.
The Ministers further emphasized the urgent need to refrain from measures imposed by the occupying power that risk further inflaming tensions on the ground. They stressed the importance of ensuring accountability and called for strengthened international efforts to uphold stability and prevent further deterioration.

For the first time ever, Arab states use the term apartheid in a joint statement condemning Israel for its passage of a new and openly racist death penalty law.

Maine Is About to Become the First State to Ban New Data Centers Legislation that could be enacted this spring would pause construction of large new data centers until November 2027.

Of note, a state with a fierce bipartisan independent streak got this done before a state with a fixed Democratic party machine beholden to corporate donors www.wsj.com/us-news/main...

She voted *against* an amendment defunding the Iron Dome, one that Ilhan, Rashida, Al Green and Summer Lee all voted for and she voted against. Even pro-Israel media has acknowledged she changed her stance here

that would've been so funny to watch

So it appears that putting pressure on AOC from the left actually *did* force her to abandon her previous position on funding the Iron Dome (even though she'll never admit that) and the people saying you should never ever hold her accountable were wrong, once again

No, he does not think pro-Israel lobby money should be tracked *at all*. He's been very clear about this. Its not about clarifying criteria for him, he thinks its antisemitic to track it in the first place. No other right-wing special interest group gets treated this way by Liberals. Only Israel.

The 👏 Listen 👏 to 👏 Women 👏 contingent awfully silent about this one.

For all the bloviating in Dem circles about “meeting voters what they are,” they have no idea how fiercely independent/anti-elite Maine is and why Platner works there, and why more people care about his policies then his past
