There's just the elephant in the room that Kaeya is a bandit. He's well aware that the money gathered by the group isn't exactly... gotten in a clean way.

It's a rough lifestyle, but Diluc takes to it quickly. He starts helping with the horses - he's always had a way with animals.

Kaeya helping Diluc out of a bind - maybe other bandits? - and taking him to his band's camp, and Diluc can clearly tell they're bandits but at the same time, it's freeing to just be 'Diluc' and enjoy his time with this charismatic bandit
