Exactly. The relish with which media covers these stories ...

The prospect of a minimum income for artists in Scotland being introduced has taken a major step forward, months after Ireland confirmed its pilot project would be made permanent.

Good to see that GSA has finally commented on this - all part of the same ecology in the city.

It is outwith my comprehension how you could operate without it!

As Cllr Mearns of @glasgowgreens.bsky.social says "Trongate 103 should never have been passed over as a purely commercial asset" - and several of the organisations affected were in the building long before it was developed into Trongate 103 or given over to City Property.
Placard of the day by Gregor Wright at protest today against City Property's attempt to increase rents by 400% on cultural tenants in Trongate 103.

Go and see this if you can: it's totally heartening. Always a little odd to watch something that tells the story of something I which you had even a tiny part, (we were there) but I think it does justice to the whole and is a good fiom to boot www.theguardian.com/film/2026/fe...
A call to join the campaign to save Glasgow's last remaining city centre art production spaces, under threat of eviction despite having a 25 year lease, terms of which are being summarily rewritten by the council.
The fate of Glasgow's last city centre arts production building is crucial to the city and to the role of art in it. Eviction could happen from this Friday. Please sign the petition www.change.org/p/save-trong...
Join the protest on Friday. Write to your MSP, MP, councillors. Resist!
Well it's worth every penny. I've been several times since September and it's been packed every time. And if ever Glasgow needed a vision of what positive cultural commitment can be, it's now.
Absolutely heart-breaking. And so pointless.
Some good news.
Sounds like some long overdue good news for Langside Halls - but my, it's been a litany of carelessness: "In 2019, after the £100,000 boiler was installed, reopening was postponed after it was discovered there was no working gas supply" 🙄 www.glasgowbell.co.uk/langside-hal...
Love this recipe - a winner every time!
🙄 France has a 'wealth tax' (IFI) - a percentage on total assets paid annually.
Rain like stair-rods in Glasgow today adding quite something to general gloom and doom.
Oh this is an enjoyable read! Andrew o'Hagan on top form.
