Who needs AI for concept art?

Embrace the tradition of crudely bashing images together with a 100% opacity brush to fill in areas until the silhouette looks right.

I needed five evil wizard "houses" from a evil "wizard school" for my campaign. Not based on any human-only schools, no sir.

Some of the concept art for my upcoming "Death to Strahd" campaign is simply crudely 'shopped images made to communicate a silhouette of a character or creature, and the general vibe, quickly.

Apologies to the various original artists of the art I cut up to make these.

A lot of what goes into the concept art phase needs to be unhinged, and a little fucked up, in a whimsical human way. Outside, or even arbitrary, limitations can inspire creative solutions and exciting new ideas

These sketches are for an upcoming short character study in which a warlock and paladin come across a hot springs while on the run from a vampire tyrant. It's a little risque but PG-13.

Little scenes like this help me establish who these characters are and helps me build out their story together.

Amazing what a little hue-shift and photoshop can do to make the castle look, lets say, "more in-line with Mystra's tennants."
