We've made our graphs (Opacity, Position, Scale, all the Rotations, Blur) as easy to edit as curves in Adobe Illustrator, and included flexible oscillations and other common patterns to make it easy to create and then tweak many kinds of animations. apps.apple.com/au/app/keyfr...

Keyframe Toolbox is now live on the Mac App Store! It works within the Final Cut Pro Inspector to help you define the perfect movements, rotations, scales, fades and virtual focus pulls.
Lots of documentation, including videos, at keyframetoolbox.fcp.cafe
Interested in text-based editing in Final Cut Pro? I made ScriptStar, with Chris ”CommandPost” Hocking, to make it possible. Live on the Mac App Store now, and more info here: scriptstar.fcp.cafe
This was a great chat, and the recording is available at the same link.
I'll be on a live Office Hours show on YouTube today, talking about my new book, "AI for Creative Production". Questions welcome! youtube.com/live/_Lf5eCT...

Have a great show, and hi to Eris!
I use these frequently in my quest to normalise modifier keys like ⌘⌥⌃⇧ and arrows ↑←↓→:
Nope! End of day @62%.
Nah, I took photos with the green case at the Apple Store. Blue/purple are good too!
Now updated with info about the new Final Cut Camera 2.0, FCP 11.2 and the new demosaic controls for the new iOS-shot ProRes RAW.

More of a Safari request, but if the full Mac Safari could run on iPad it would help. See also: www.threads.com/@tonylucero/...

Awesome that video editing is possible if you're blind. Kudos to Unsightly Opinions, and to the teams at Apple working on Accessibility and Final Cut Pro who make this stuff possible. (See also www.youtube.com/user/icdhills, who edits video with a head switch.)
No problem — Growing Games it is!
Louis, I'm trying to get your lower third title right in the QGF 2025 video! Is this entirely your game, or do you have collaborators, or a company name? :)
Simon Ubsdell's Motion tutorials are always excellent. Strongly recommended for anyone into motion graphics. youtu.be/cAzGFdtnCw0?...
This tracks. What I really want to see as part of this is for the UI to react to device gyros, detected light and even eye tracking, making the whole thing feel like it’s a real 3D part of the world. If windows on my Mac could be positioned in 3D on the Vision Pro, that would be gold.
Streaming has had a huge impact on the Australian TV production landscape, and a recent report examined why: www.provideocoalition.com/the-impact-o...
Use tape or paint to color-code the ones that are good for data or for high power applications (e.g. 100W). Most thinner cables are only good for charging, though.
(This is still a better situation than cables you can’t plug in at all.)
Metaburner is now available on the Mac App Store (previously only available on FxFactory) at a special discount rate!

It’s not time, it’s patience. Social media has trained your brain to swipe to the next thing now now now and fill every gap in your day. But each social media video is like a single French fry: not good for you, consumed in packs, regretted later. Turn them off, slow down.
Recommended — if you’re into board games you may like this.
OK, this is weird and silly, but it works. The Movies folder, in List view, can show Dimensions, Codecs, Duration and Title for videos. For any other folder, you have to rename it to "Movies", then enable these columns in List view, then you can rename the folder whatever you want.
QuickTime Player, ⌘I to Get Info. There are some sneaky tricks to show resolution in the Finder though.
If you’re into board games then definitely check this one out. (Yes, I helped with the campaign!)
